2010–11 Drake Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Drake Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Drake University during the 2010-11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team, which plays in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), was led by third-year head coach Mark Phelps and played their home games at the Knapp Center. The Bulldogs finished the season 13–18, 7–11 in Missouri Valley play. They lost in the first round of the 2011 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament to Bradley. Preseason Sean Duff and Sean Jones are no longer on the team. Craig Stanley, Josh Young, Bill Eaddy, and Adam Templeton all graduated. Mark Phelps
Mark Edward Phelps (born January 22, 1966) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Prolific Prep. Prior to his current job, Phelps was an assistant at the University of Arizona from 2015-2019. Phelps spent the 2013–14 season as an assistant coach for Marquette University. His most recent NCAA head coaching job was with the Drake University men's basketball team. He was named the 25th head basketball coach at Drake University and successor to Keno Davis on April 21, 2008. He was fired by Drake on March 14, 2013. He has a B.S. in physical education from Old Dominion University, which he received in 1996, and is a 1984 graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. On May 18, 2015, Phelps was hired as an assistant to Sean Miller's staff at the University of Arizona. Great Alaska Shootout
The ASRC/ConocoPhillips Great Alaska Shootout is an annual women's college basketball tournament in Anchorage, Alaska that features host University of Alaska Anchorage and three visiting NCAA Div. I teams. The four-team tournament is resuming in 2022 following a four-year layoff. The women's Shootout was started in 1980 and ran through 1997 as the Northern Lights Invitational, featuring either four- or eight-team fields and playing at the UAA Sports Center. Following a one-year absence, the tournament was renamed and run along with the men's Great Alaska Shootout every Thanksgiving week from 1999 to 2017. The tournament was held at Sullivan Arena from 1999 to 2013 and moved to the Alaska Airlines Center in 2014. The 2010–11 Boise State Broncos men's basketball team represented Boise State University during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos, led by first year head coach Leon Rice, played their home games at Taco Bell Arena and were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 22–13, 10–6 in WAC play to finish in second place. They advanced to the championship game of the 2011 WAC men's basketball tournament where they lost to Utah State. Moby Arena
Moby Arena is an 8,745-seat basketball arena on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. The arena, officially known as the Colorado State Auditorium-Gymnasium, was opened on January 24, 1966, with a victory over New Mexico State. The arena was built to replace South College Gymnasium, which was built in 1926 and seated 1,500 people. Design and name On the outside, the arena is a rounded rectangle over the indented lower level, with a hump-shaped roof arcing over the long sides of the building. Inside, the seating is much higher on the sidelines than in the endzones.
