2010–11 Division 1 Féminine
The 2010–11 Division 1 Féminine season was the 37th since its establishment. Lyon were the defending champions. The fixtures were announced in August 2010 and the season began on 5 September 2010 and ended early on 31 May 2011 in order to increase the fitness of national team players ahead of the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. There were two promoted teams from the Division 2 Féminine, replacing the two teams that were relegated from Division 1 Féminine following the 2009–10 season. A total of 12 teams competed in the league with two clubs suffering relegation to the second division, the Division 2 Féminine. On 27 March 2011, Lyon successfully defended its title after defeating title rivals Montpellier 1–0 at the Stade Jules Rimet in Sussargues. The title is the club's fifth consecutive in the Division 1 Féminine and its ninth overall dating back to its ''FC Lyon'' years. Division 1 Féminine
The Division 1 Féminine, shortened as D1 Féminine or D1F, and currently known as D1 Arkema for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in France. Run by the French Football Federation, the league is contested by twelve fully professional clubs. Founded in 1974, the league exists in its current format since 1992. Seasons run from September to June, with teams playing 22 games each totaling 132 games in the season. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays. Play is regularly suspended after the second week in December before returning in the third week of January. The Division 1 Féminine is ranked the best women's league in Europe according to UEFA 2019–20 women's association club coefficients. Paris FC is a French women's football club based in Viry-Châtillon, a suburb of Paris. The club is the female section of Ligue 2 men's club Paris FC. The club was founded in 1971 and currently play in the Division 1 Féminine, the first division of women's football in France. The club has played in the first division since 1987. Paris FC was founded in 1971 as Étoile Sportive de Juvisy-sur-Orge, the women's football section of local club ES Juvisy, based in Juvisy-sur-Orge. Hénin-Beaumont (; pcd, Hinnin-Biaumont) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Geography Hénin-Beaumont used to be a coalmining town and is now a light industrial town situated some east of Lens, at the junction of the N43, D919 and the D39 roads. Blanquefort (; Gascon: Blancahòrt) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Blanquefort is an outlying commune of the Bordeaux metropolitan area. The club was previously the women's section of men's football club Stade Briochin and was founded in 1973 under the name Chaffoteaux Sports Saint-Brieuc. From 1999–2003, the club played under the name Saint-Brieuc Football Féminin, switching to Stade Briochin following the end of the 2002–03 season.
