French Television
Television in France was introduced in 1931, Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, when the first experimental broadcasts began. Colour television was introduced in October 1967 on France 2, La Deuxième Chaîne. Digital terrestrial television The digital terrestrial television platform was launched on 31 March 2005 after a short testing period. Like Freeview (UK), Freeview in the UK, it provides many new channels, as well as the current terrestrial television stations. Like the rest of Europe, France uses the DVB-T transmission technology. The 13 first digital free channels were launched on 31 March 2005. In October, 4 additional free channels were added: the 24h news channels BFM TV and I-Télé, the music and entertainment youth channel Europe 2 TV, and the free children channel Gulli, joint-venture between Lagardère Active and France Télévisions. Luce (singer)
Lucie Brunet (born 28 January 1990), better known by the stage name Luce, is a French singer-songwriter and actress originating from Peyrestortes. She won the eighth series of the French music competition ''Nouvelle Star'' in 2010. Early life Luce was born in Perpignan and studied nursing in Montpellier. She also practiced the flute following courses at the Conservatory of dramatic art between 2008 and 2009. Career ''Nouvelle Star'' She auditioned for ''Nouvelle Star'' (French Idol series) in Marseille where she sang Rita Mitsouko's "Andy" passing in the category ''Les Inoubliables'' wearing a moustache and an electronic badge saying "I love hairs." The eighth season of ''Nouvelle Star'' began on March 2 and finished on June 16. Virginie Guilhaume returned as the host for her sophomore season. André Manoukian remained as the only original jury member after eight years along Philippe Manœuvre and Lio. Nouvelle Star
''Nouvelle Star'' (; also known as ''À la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star'' for the first season) is a French television series based on the popular Pop Idol programme produced by FremantleMedia. It was broadcast by M6 in seasons 1–8 before D8 aired seasons 9-12. M6 broadcast the 13th and final season. It was hosted by Benjamin Castaldi for the first three seasons (2003–2005). He also hosted 13 episodes of seasons 4 (2006). Virginie Efira presented the remainder of season 4, as well as presenting seasons 5 and 6. Virginie Guilhaume hosted seasons 7 and 8. Since season 9, Cyril Hanouna is the ''Nouvelle Stars TV host. On 4 July 2012, Bibiane Godfroid, program director of Nouvelle Star announced that the show will not return on M6 but will instead be on D8, after its acquisition by Canal +. M6 (television Channel)
M6 (), also known as , is the most profitable private national French public television channel and the third most watched television network in the French-speaking world. M6 is the head channel of the M6 Group media empire that owns several TV channels, magazines, publications, movie production and media-related firms etc. It is owned by RTL Group. On 20 May 2021 it was announced that M6 Group, owners of the channel, has proposed a merger with TF1 Group, which owns TF1. On September 16, 2022, it was announced that the merger was officially abandoned. History M6 launched on 1 March 1987 at 11:15 am CET taking the place of TV6. M6's current on-air brand image, introduced in May 2020 suggests that it tailors its service to teenagers and young-adult demographics. ''Secret Story 2010'' is the fourth edition of the French version of the popular reality show ''Big Brother'' carrying on from the previous similar show, '' Loft Story''. Casting for season 4 began on Friday, February 19, 2010. The casting announcement came from Emilie NefNaf, the winner of season 3, during the premiere of ''La Ferme Célébrités'', presented by Benjamin Castaldi. This season began on July 7, 2010 and will conclude on October 22, 2010, lasting 108 Days. Housemates * Laura, Benoît and Robin were revealed on '' Secret Story's'' official website on July 6, 2010. ''La France a un incroyable talent'' ( en, France's Got Incredible Talent), previously known as ''Incroyable Talent'', is a French TV show, based on the ''Got Talent'' series. It debuted on M6 on 2 November 2006, presented by Alessandra Sublet. Summary Season 1 (2006) The 1st season of the show was presented by Alessandra Sublet, and aired on M6 from November 2, 2006 to December 12, 2006. It was produced by Sébastien Zibi. The judging panel consisted of Gilbert Rozon, Sophie Edelstein and Jean-Pierre Domboy. The first season of the show attracted 5 million viewers. ''Présence protestante'' is a France 2 religious programme that presents Protestant Christianity. It has been produced since the 1950s broadcast every Sunday morning since October 9, 1955. History Présence protestante debuted on October 2, 1955 which was presented by Marcel Gosselin, under the leadership of Marc Boegner who was the president of the Protestant Federation of France. It was broadcast RTF, it was originally titled Émission protestante, then it renamed the Présence protestante based on a similar french-speaking Swiss program. 30 millions d'amis (English: "30 million friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. ''Secret Story'' is the original French version of the reality show ''Secret Story''. The show inherits more or less the fundamental principles of '' Big Brother'', a reality show created by producer John de Mol in 1997. It's the second French adaptation of ''Big Brother'', after two seasons of '' Loft Story'', the first French adaptation of ''Big Brother'', hosted by Benjamin Castaldi in 2001 and 2002 on M6.
