2010 WA State Challenge Cup
Western Australian soccer clubs from the top three State-Based Divisions competed in 2010 for the WA State Challenge Cup, known that year as the State League Cup. This knockout competition was won by Stirling Lions SC, Stirling Lions, their sixth title. First round A total of 32 teams took part in this stage of the competition. All 12 Clubs from the National Premier Leagues Western Australia, State League Premier Division and Football West State League Division 1, and 8 clubs from the Sunday League (Premier Division) (the top 8 out of 12 from the previous year's league table) entered into the competition at this stage. Stirling Macedonia Football Club (formerly West Perth Macedonia, Stirling Lions) is an Australian football club based in Perth, Western Australia, who are competing in 2023 in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. History Early history Stirling Macedonia has evolved with the history of the Macedonian Australian community of Western Australia. The club has been through a number of name changes and directions in its history. Initially formed as East Perth Macedonia in 1958, the club dissolved in 1967, but in 1969 the Macedonian community put together the necessary funds to revive the club. In 1970, the club was revived as West Perth Macedonia. The club endured highs and lows in the 1970s and early 1980s, with its biggest success coming when they won the League Title in its third year of being in the State League.
