2010 V-League
The 2010 V-League season was the 54th season of Vietnam's professional football league. The league and cup winners would enter the 2011 AFC Cup. The bottom side at the end of the season get relegated. The side that finishes 2ND from bottom enters an end of season play-off match against the 2nd Division's 2nd placed side. Teams Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hóa were relegated to the 2010 Vietnam First Division after finishing the 2009 season in the bottom two places. The two relegated teams were replaced by 2009 Vietnam First Division champions XM The Vissai Ninh Bình and runners-up Hòa Phát Hà Nội. Nam Định defeated Thành phố Cần Thơ in the end of season promotion/relegation match to secure their place in the V. League. Vietnamese Super League
The V.League 1 ( vi, Giải bóng đá vô địch quốc gia, lit=National Football League), also called Night Wolf V.League 1 due to sponsorship reasons, is the top professional football league in Vietnam, controlled by the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company. It is contested by 14 clubs who play each other on a home and away basis. The team finishing at the top at the end of the season is crowned the champion and enters the AFC Champions League. The league was founded in 1980 as the All Vietnam Football Championship, with Tổng Cục Đường Sắt emerging as the first winner. The league turned professional in the 2000–01 season, which allowed clubs to hire foreign players. Vietnam Professional Football (VPF) was established in 2012, and the organising power was transferred from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to Vietnam Professional Football Jointstock Company (VPF). Song Lam Nghe An Football Club (), simply known as Song Lam Nghe An or SLNA, is a professional V.League 1 football club playing at the Vinh Stadium in the city of Vinh, Nghe An province, Vietnam.
