The 2010 Trophée des Alpilles was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 2nd edition of the tournament which was part of the 2010 ATP Challenger Tour. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Adrian Mannarino (born 29 June 1988) is a French professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 22, attained on 19 March 2018. He won his first ATP Tour singles title at the 2019 Rosmalen Open on grass. He is currently the highest ranked French player. Dorian Descloix
Dorian Descloix (born 14 March 1988) is a French tennis coach and retired player. Descloix has a career high ATP singles ranking of 666 achieved on 26 July 2010. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 562 achieved on 10 October 2011. Descloix made his ATP main draw debut at the 2015 Open Sud de France in the doubles draw partnering Gaël Monfils. In February 2020, he became the hitting partner and subsequently coach for Victoria Azarenka. Upon his hiring, Azarenka won the title at the Western & Southern Open, her first title since 2016, and reached the final of the US Open, her first Grand Slam final since 2013. Alexandre Renard (tennis)
Alexandre-Charles-Albert-Joseph Renard (7 June 1906, Avelin, Nord – 8 October 1983, Paris) was a French Roman Catholic Cardinal and Archbishop of Lyon. He was ordained on 12 July 1931 in Lille. Life and career He taught at Marcq College, Baraeul in 1933–1936, and then taught at the seminary of Haubourdin until 1938. He continued his teaching through the Second World War at the Catholic University of Lille until 1943, and also did pastoral work in the diocese of Lille until 1947. On 19 August 1953 Pope Pius XII appointed Renard Bishop of Versailles, and on 28 May 1967 he was appointed to the metropolitan see of Lyon by Pope Paul VI. He was created Cardinal-Priest of '' SS. Trinità al Monte Pincio'' on 26 June 1967 by Pope Paul. He took part in both conclaves of 1978 that elected Pope John Paul I and Pope John Paul II. He retired as Archbishop at the age of 75. Grigelis holds the best ATP doubles ranking for Lithuanian player of all time. Grigelis won his first title when he was 18 at a Futures tournament in Wrexham, United Kingdom. George Edward Bastl (born 1 April 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Tennis career Bastl was an All-American at the University of Southern California. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 71 in May 2000 and reached one ATP Tour singles final at Tashkent in 1999. The biggest win of Bastl's tennis career came in the second round of the 2002 Wimbledon Championships, where he caused one of the biggest upsets in Wimbledon and Grand Slam history by defeating seven-time champion Pete Sampras, winning in five sets by the score of 6–3, 6–2, 4–6, 3–6, 6–4.
