Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé Eyadéma (; born 6 June 1966"Biographie de nouveau président" , Radio Lome .) is a Togolese politician who has been the List of Presidents of Togo, president of Togo since 2005. Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson
Brigitte Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson (born 26 December 1958) is a Togolese politician, lawyer and human rights activist, and the first woman to stand as a candidate in a presidential election in her country. Early life Adjamagbo-Johnson was born on 26 December 1958 in Bassar, Togo, the daughter of Cornélie, a midwife, and Paul Adjamagbo, a physician. Education Adjamagbo-Johnson earned a master's degree in law in 1983 from the University of Lomé, followed by a DEA in private law at the University of Paris V, Malakoff, and a second DEA in private law and comparative law, African rights option and a PhD in 1986 at the University of Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne. She later worked as a lecturer at the University of Lomé. The Democratic Convention of African Peoples (french: Convention démocratique des peuples africains, CDPA) is a political party in Togo. It is a consultative member of Socialist International. History The party was based in Ivory Coast until 1989 when it was forced to leave by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. In the same year some of its members were arrested for handing out anti-government literature; when they were put on trial in 1990, large demonstrations in Lomé led to several deaths. The CDPA boycotted the August 1993 presidential elections and the February 1994 parliamentary elections. Its Secretary-General, Léopold Gnininvi, was a candidate in the June 1998 presidential elections, but received less than 1% of the vote and taking fifth place. Kofi Martin Yamgnane (born 11 October 1945) is a French-Togolese politician and engineer. Biography Yamgnane was born in 1945 in Bassar, Togo. A member of the Bassar ethnic group in central Togo, he attended a missionary school as his early education. In 1957, he enrolled at the St. Joseph College in Lomé, capital of Togo. Yamgnane received his baccalauréat in 1964. Afterward, he moved to France to study engineering. He obtained a degree in mathematics from the University of Western Brittany in 1969. Yamgnane obtained French citizenship in 1975. After years of doing engineering work without qualifications, such as designing expressway structures, he enrolled at the École nationale supérieure des mines de Nancy in 1977 and graduated in 1981.
