2010 Temple Owls Football Team
The 2010 Temple Owls football team represented Temple University during the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Owls, led by fourth-year head coach Al Golden, compete in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference and played their home games at Lincoln Financial Field. Al Golden (American Football)
Alfred James Golden Jr. (born July 4, 1969) is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is a former head coach at Temple from 2006 to 2010. He has also served for five years as defensive coordinator at Virginia (2001–2005) and five years as the head coach at University of Miami (2011–2015). He is also a former tight end for the New England Patriots of the NFL. He was fired from Miami on October 25, 2015. Playing career College Golden was a three-year (1989–1991) letter winner and tight end for Penn State, where he received the 1991 Ridge Riley Award, given annually to a player who displays excellence in scholarship, sportsmanship, friendship, and leadership. Penn State–Temple Football Rivalry
The Penn State–Temple football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Penn State Nittany Lions and Temple Owls. In a series dating back to 1931, Penn State has a series advantage, having won 40 out of 45 games. The schools make up 2 of the 3 universities in the state of Pennsylvania which still compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. History The first game between Temple and Penn State was played in Philadelphia in 1931 with Temple winning by a score of 12–0. Penn State got their first win in the rivalry in 1940 with an 18–0 win over Temple. University At Buffalo Stadium
UB Stadium is a stadium in Amherst, New York on the campus of the University at Buffalo. It is primarily used for football, soccer, and track and field events, and is the home field of the Buffalo Bulls. It opened on September 4, 1993, with a game against the University of Maine. The stadium was built from 1991 to 1993 as the final piece of the school's "Run to Division I" drive, meant to bring UB football back to Division I status and as the feature athletics venue for the 1993 Summer Universiade. 2010 Bowling Green Falcons Football Team
The 2010 Bowling Green Falcons football team was the 92nd varsity football team to represent Bowling Green State University and the program's 58th season in the Mid-American Conference. The Falcons play in the MAC's east division and are led by second year head coach Dave Clawson. They played their home games at Doyt Perry Stadium. They finished the season 2–10, 1–7 in MAC play to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place in the East Division. The 2010 Northern Illinois Huskies football team represented Northern Illinois University as a member of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Huskies compiled an overall record of 11–3 with a mark of 8–0 in conference play, winning the MAC's West Division title. Michie Stadium
Michie Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the campus of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. The home field for the Army Black Knights, it opened in 1924 and has a current seating capacity of 38,000. The stadium sits at the upper portion of campus, directly west of Lusk Reservoir. The 2010 Army Black Knights football team represented the United States Military Academy as an independent in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Black Knights, led by second-year head coach Rich Ellerson played their home games at the Michie Stadium. By winning six regular season games, Army became bowl-eligible for the first time since the 1996 season. They were invited to the Armed Forces Bowl in University Park, Texas, replacing a team from the Mountain West Conference.
