The 2010 Premier League Knock-Out Cup was the 43rd edition of the Knockout Cup A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Knockout Cup (sometimes referred to as the KO Cup) is a type of British motorcycle speedway competition, examples of which have run annually since 1929. Each tier of British Speedway has its own respective Knockout Cup. The current Knockout Cup competitions are the SGB Premiership Knockout Cup (tier one), the SGB Championship Knockout Cup (tier two) and the National League Knockout Cup (tier three). The cups have been run in the past under the associated name of the League at the time. Josef Franc (born 18 January 1979, in Čáslav, Czech Republic) is a former international motorcycle racer who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and motorcycle speedway. Career He has appeared as a track reserve in the 2007 Czech Republic Speedway Grand Prix, scoring three points from two rides and has represented the Czech Republic national speedway team at senior level. Franc was the Czech Republic Under-21 Champion in 1999 and was the Czech Republic national champion in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he was part of the Czech team, along with Hynek Štichauer and Martin Málek, that won the bronze medal at the 2019 Team Long Track World Championship. In 2022, he was part of the Czech team, again with Málek and Štichauer, that won the silver medal at the 2022 Team Long Track World Championship. Carl Adam Wilkinson (born 16 May 1981) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Born in Boston, England, Wilkinson started his career with the Peterborough Panthers in the Conference League in 1997 a week before his sixteenth birthday. It took another two seasons before he was awarded a regular Conference League ride when he was signed by his local club, the Boston Barracudas in 2000. Wilkinson has ridden for Great Britain at under-21 level. He won the Conference League with the Peterborough Pumas in 1997 and the Conference League KO Cup with the Boston Barracudas in 2000. He was retained by Boston for 2001, but 2002 saw him signed up by the Newport Wasps for their Premier League team, where he recorded a 4.35 average in his first season. Career Born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Johnston signed for the Sheffield Tigers for the 1992 British League Division Two season. He left Sheffield to join the Long Eaton Invaders for the 1993 season. Career Rymel started his British speedway career when he signed for Berwick Bandits for the 2001 Premier League speedway season. Career Legault is a three-time Canadian individual speedway champion; winning in 2003, 2004 and 2006. He began his British speedway career in 2005, with Premier League team the Sheffield Tigers where he recorded a 5.80 average in his first season.
