Sioux Falls Arena
Sioux Falls Arena is a 7,500-seat multi-purpose arena located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The facility was built in 1961. It seats 6,113 for basketball games and 4,760 for indoor football and hockey. It was the home of the Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball team (1989–2013), the Sioux Falls Storm indoor American football, indoor football team, and the Sioux Falls Stampede ice hockey team, as well as a variety of state high school championship events. The Sioux Falls Arena hosted the men's and women's The Summit League, Summit League Basketball Championship from 2009 until the opening of the Denny Sanford Premier Center, Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in 2014. Beginning in the fall of 2014, the Arena has been the home of Augustana (South Dakota) Vikings, Augustana University Vikings men's and women's basketball games. The Sioux City Bandits season was the team's tenth as the Sioux City Bandits, eleventh overall and second as a member of Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams competing in the IFL for the 2010 season, the Sioux City, Iowa-based Bandits were members of the Central West Division of the United Conference. The Bandits played their home games at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, under the direction of head coach Tommie Williams, until he resigned on June 10, 2010. Jarrod DeGeorgia and Erv Strohbeen were named interim head coaches for the final two games. Leif Murphy
Leif Murphy (born October 23, 1979) is a former professional American football defensive end. He is one of Indoor Football's most prolific producers in the Sack and Tackle For Loss, categories. Career In Murphy's high school years, he earned the All-State and Defensive Player of the Year awards at Spring Lake Park High School in Minnesota. In college, he was a four-year starter at North Dakota State University from 1999 to 2002, All-America First Team selection as a junior in 2001 after leading the Bison with 11 sacks. He completed his collegiate career with 129 tackles and 22 sacks. Murphy began the 2003 season with the Canadian Football League's Ottawa Renegades before joining the Bismarck Roughriders of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL). Next year in 2004 he played for the Tri-City Diesel of the NIFL, and was named Pacific Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Zac Tubbs (born May 14, 1984) is a former Division I athlete who earned athletic honors on the high school, collegiate, and professional level. He was named to the ''Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's'' All-Arkansas SEC Third Team on August 6, 2017. High school career Tubbs attended Cullman High School in his hometown of Cullman, Alabama. Known for being tremendously strong in the weight room, he garnered nearly every recognition available in his high school career. First Interstate Arena (colloquially known as The Metra) is a multi-purpose arena located at MetraPark, the fairgrounds of Billings, Montana. The 2010 Colorado Ice season was the team's fourth season as a professional indoor football franchise and second in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-five teams that competed in the IFL in the 2010 season, the Fort Collins-based Colorado Ice were members of the United Conference. Founded in 2007 as part of United Indoor Football, the Colorado Ice became charter members of the IFL when the UIF merged with the Intense Football League before the 2009 season. In their fourth season under head coach Collins Sanders, the team played their home games at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado. On April 1, 2010, Thomas Wrigley purchased the team.
