2010 Purdue Boilermakers Football Team
The 2010 Purdue Boilermakers football team represented Purdue University in the 2010 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They played their home games at Ross–Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana and competed in the Big Ten Conference. It was Danny Hope's second season as head coach. The Boilermakers finished the season 4–8, 2–6 in Big Ten play. Before the season The Boilermakers were looking to improve on a 5–7 record (4–4 in conference play) in 2009, in which they finished 7th in the Big Ten conference. The offense will be led by Robert Marve, the highly rated transfer from Miami (FL), who was named the starting quarterback. They also planned on using Rob Henry at the quarterback position. Danny Hope
Charles Daniel Hope (born January 7, 1959) is an American football coach and former player. He served as the head football coach at Eastern Kentucky University from 2003 to 2007, and Purdue University from 2009 to 2012, compiling a career college football record of 57 wins and 49 losses. He was most recently the co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the South Florida Bulls football team before stepping down after one season for family reasons. Coaching career Hope was the head football coach at Eastern Kentucky University from 2003 to 2007. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky and also was a player at Eastern Kentucky. Before arriving at Eastern Kentucky, Hope was the offensive coordinator at Louisville. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. Jonathan Alder High School
Jonathan Alder High School is an NCA accredited public high school located in Plain City, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Jonathan Alder Local School District. The school, as well as the district, are named after Jonathan Alder, the first white settler in Madison County. The current building was first occupied in the 2005–2006 school year. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Mainland High School is a public high school located in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. It is attended by 1,979 students of grades nine through twelve. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Joe Holland (born August 20, 1988) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
