The ''Liguilla'' ( en, Mini League) of the Primera División de México 2010 Bicentenario was a final mini-tournament involving eight teams of the Primera División de México, in an elimination two-legs playoff. The first leg Final of the ''Liguilla'' was on Wednesday May 20, between Santos Laguna against Toluca. Defending champions Monterrey, were not able to defend their past championship, as they were knocked out in the first round of the "Liguilla" by Pachuca Teams As the 18 teams of the 2010 Bicentenario were divided in three groups of six teams, it was determined that the two top of each group advanced to the ''Liguilla'', even though having had a low performance at the general table. Rubén Omar Romano Cachía (born May 18, 1958 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine former footballer and current manager. Footballer career Romano played in Argentina for Club Atlético Huracán before leaving for Mexico in 1980 to play for Club América. He played in seven other Mexican clubs: León, Necaxa, Puebla, Querétaro, Cruz Azul, Atlante, and Veracruz. He was a left footed player with a great talent for free kicks as well as an extraordinary playmaker. His best times were in León and Atlante. Tomás Juan Boy Espinoza (28 June 1951 – 8 March 2022) was a Mexican professional manager and footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Known for his technical skills and field vision, Boy is considered as one of the greatest Mexican players of all time.
