The 2010 Lunar New Year Cup is a football tournament held in Hong Kong on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year of the Tiger (18 January 2010). Format The teams play against each other in 45-minute matches like TIM Trophy, but if the matches are goalless the matches are not decided by penalty shoot-outs. Li Ka Chun
Li Ka Chun (; born 10 September 1993), nicknamed Lali, is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays for Hong Kong First Division club Metro Gallery. Club career Born in Hong Kong during British reign, Li was spotted by Kitchee as a 13 year old during a youth football development programme he was attending during the summer. Alex Akande
Alexander Oluwatayo Akande (; born 9 February 1989), more commonly known as Alex Akande or Alex Tayo Akande, is a professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for China League One club Shanghai Jiading Huilong. Born in Nigeria, he represents Hong Kong at international level. Club career Advance Tai Chung and Eastern Akande arrived in Hong Kong in 2008 and played for Tai Chung in the Hong Kong second division league. His prolific performance soon drew interest of first division side Eastern. Akande joined Eastern in January 2009 and finished the season with 6 goals. Tai Chung and Kitchee Akande returned to Tai Chung in season 2009-10.
