2010 Ladies European Tour
The 2010 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from February through December 2010. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tour featured 25 official money events, as well as the European Ladies Golf Cup, European Nations Cup. Lee-Anne Pace won the Order of Merit with earnings of €339,517.77, ahead of Laura Davies. In-Kyung Kim won Rookie of the Year honours, after finishing 4th in the Order of Merit. Laura Davies
Dame Laura Jane Davies, (born 5 October 1963) is an English female professional golfer. She has achieved the status of her nation's most accomplished female golfer of modern times, being the first non-American to finish at the top of the LPGA money list as well as winning the Ladies European Tour (LET) Order of Merit a record seven times: in 1985, 1986, 1992, 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2006. As of 2018, Davies has 87 professional wins worldwide, with 20 on the LPGA Tour, including four majors. From 1985 to 2010, she won at least one individual title somewhere in the world every season, except for 2005, and was the first golfer, male or female, to win tournaments on five continents in one year. She is a member of U.S.-based LPGA Tour and a life member of the Ladies European Tour. She was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2015. Jiyai Shin
Jiyai Shin (Korean: 신지애 ''Shin Ji-ae'', ; born 28 April 1988) is a former world No. 1 ranked South Korean professional golfer who primarily plays on the LPGA of Japan Tour as of the 2020 golf season. Evian Masters
The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. The purse was increased from $4.1 million to $4.5 million effective with the 2021 event. The 2022 event saw an increase in the purse to $6.5 million, with the winner earning $1 million. Patricia Mary "Trish" Johnson (born 17 January 1966) is an English professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Johnson was born in Bristol. Her three brothers were all golfers, one of them was a professional golfer. She practiced other sports, like badminton, soccer and tennis. She preferred to not take golf lessons and learn by herself. Karen Lunn
Karen Marie Lunn (born 21 March 1966) is an Australian professional golfer. She turned professional in 1985 and has spent much of her career on the Ladies European Tour, where she has won several tournaments including a Women's British Open title in 1993 (before that tournament was an LPGA major championship). She topped the Order of Merit in 1993. In 2004, Lunn was named the Ladies European Tour's Chairman of the Board. She was born in Sydney, Australia, and now lives in Surrey, England. The Ladies Swiss Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that is held in Switzerland. It was first played in 1996 and 1997, the first LET event in Switzerland since the Ladies Swiss Classic (1988–1990). It was played 2006–2012 with Deutsche Bank as the title sponsor. Florentyna Parker (born 20 June 1989) is an English professional golfer born in Germany. Amateur career In 2006, Parker was in the training squad for the 2006 Curtis Cup. She competed in the 2008 Curtis Cup where she won her singles match. Professional career In 2010, Parker won the ABN AMRO Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour by two strokes. María Hernández (golfer)
María Hernández Muñoz (born 24 March 1986) is a Spanish professional golfer on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour. She won the 2010 Ladies Slovak Open and while at Purdue, she was the NCAA Individual Champion and won the Honda Sports Award. Amateur career Hernández started playing golf at 12 and had a successful amateur career. An eight-year member of the Spanish National Team, Hernández is a five-time European Team Championship gold medalist, and earned a gold medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games both individually and as a team.
