2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships – Men's 4 × 400 Metres Relay
The men's 4x400 metres relay competition at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships was held at the ASPIRE Academy for Sports Excellence, ASPIRE Dome on 13 and 14 March. In the first heat the United States and Jamaica took the top two spots as expected, shortly followed by the Dominican Republic in a Dominican records in athletics, national record time of 3:06.30. In the second heat, a clash between Vladimir Antmanis and Marcin Marciniszyn resulted in a baton drop by Russia, which eventually cost them a place in the final. Belgium won heat two but the initial second placers Botswana (which ran an List of African records in athletics, African record of 3:09.60) were later disqualified for a baton exchange outside of the legal zone. The Bahamas benefited from the disqualification and the Dominican Republic and Great Britain entered the final as the fastest losers. Conrad Williams (born 20 March 1982) is a British track and field sprinter who competes in the 400 metres and 4×400 m relay. He holds a personal best of 45.02 seconds for the individual event. The majority of his success has come in relay events, where he has won eight senior international medals, including the gold medal for both England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and for Great Britain at the 2014 European Athletics Championships. Jonathan Borlée (; born 22 February 1988) is a Belgian sprinter, who specializes in the 400 metres. He is a member of the Borlée family. He qualified for the finals of the 400 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was a semi-finalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics and winner at the 2009 NCAA Championships. Borlée also takes part in the Belgian 4 × 400 m relay team. The team won gold at the 2012, 2016 and 2018 European Championships, and the 2015 European Indoor Championships.
