2010 Hypo-Meeting
The 36th edition of the annual Hypo-Meeting took place on May 29 and May 30, 2010 in Götzis, Austria. The track and field competition, featuring a men's decathlon and a women's heptathlon event was part of the 2010 IAAF World Combined Events Challenge. Oleksiy Kasyanov and Jessica Ennis led the men's and women's competition, respectively, after the first day. Hypo-Meeting
The Hypo-Meeting is an annual athletics (sport), athletics competition that takes place in the Mösle stadium in Götzis in Vorarlberg (Austria) held in the spring (late May, early June). In its history, a total of three world records have been set: 1980 and 1982 by Daley Thompson (8648 and 8730 points), and 2001 by Roman Šebrle (9026 points). Organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), it is one of the athletics meetings that make up the IAAF Combined Events Challenge. Male and female athletes compete in the decathlon or heptathlon, respectively, and points scored at the Hypo-Meeting count towards a yearly total for the parent competition. Eelco Sintnicolaas
Eelco Sintnicolaas (born 7 April 1987, in Dordrecht) is a Dutch track and field athlete, specialising in the decathlon. His personal best in the decathlon is a score of 8.052 points at the Götzis Meeting in 2009. That same year he earned a gold medal at the U23 European Championships, with 8.112 points, whereas his best result was a silver medal at the 2010 European Championships in Athletics in Barcelona with 8.436 points. At the Götzis Meeting in 2012 he finished second with personal best result 8506 pts. Ingmar Vos
Ingmar Vos (born 28 May 1986 in Rotterdam) is a former Dutch athlete who specialised in the Decathlon and Heptathlon. Biography Competing at a national level since his mid teens, Vos came second in the Dutch National Youth Championships in 2003, and two years later he won the Dutch Junior A all-rounders title. As part of the Dutch team in the 2005 European Athletics Junior Championships in Kaunas he came tenth. Becoming a Senior in 2006 Vos won a silver medal at the Dutch Championships indoor combined events and a bronze medal at the Dutch Decathlon Championships. The next year he won a bronze medal at the national indoor championships, and came eighth in the decathlon at the 2007 European Athletics U23 Championships. Mihail Dudaš
Mihail Dudaš ( sr-cyr, Михаил Дудаш, born 1 November 1989) is a Serbian decathlete and heptathlete. He holds national records in both events. Career He won a bronze medal at the 2008 World Junior Championship and bronze medals at the U23 European Championship in 2009 and 2011. His first senior success was achieved at the 2011 World Championship when he finished 6th with a new national record of 8256 points. Next year he competed at the European Outdoor Championship where he came 4th. Dudaš qualified for the 2012 Olympics but couldn't finish decathlon due to migraine. At the 2013 European Indoor Championship he won his first senior medal, bronze in heptathlon and achieved new national record of 6099 points. Andres Raja (born June 2, 1982) is a retired Estonian decathlete. Raja was born in Leningrad. He finished sixteenth at the 2007 World Championships and sixth at the 2008 World Indoor Championships. He set a personal best score of 8119 points in August at 2009 World Championships in Athletics. His second best result is 8118 achieved in August 2008 at the Olympics after qualifying to the games with personal best 8069 points, achieved in July 2008 in Rakvere. Roland Schwarzl
Roland Schwartzl (born 10 December 1980 in Lienz) is a decathlon, decathlete from Austria. He has won 5 pole vault and 3 heptathlon tiles since 1999 in the Austrian Indoor Championships. He also won both the decathlon and long jump in the Austrian Championships in 2003. His greatest achievement as a junior came in the 1999 European Athletics Junior Championships, 1999 European Junior Championships where he won the decathlon.
