2010 Honda Indy Edmonton
The 2010 Honda Indy Edmonton was an IndyCar race that took place on July 25, 2010, at Edmonton City Centre Airport in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was the eleventh round of the 2010 IndyCar Series, the third Edmonton Indy in the series, and the race's sixth anniversary (including three years on the Champ Car World Series (CCWS) schedule). Chip Ganassi Racing driver Scott Dixon won the 95-lap race after starting third. Team Penske's Will Power finished second, and Dixon's teammate Dario Franchitti finished third. Power, the defending Indy Edmonton champion, took pole position by posting the fastest qualifying lap. The Edmonton Indy was a round of the IndyCar Series held at a temporary circuit set up at the Edmonton City Centre Airport near the downtown area of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Paul Anthony Tracy (born December 17, 1968) is a Canadian-American former professional auto racing driver who competed in CART, the Champ Car World Series and the IndyCar Series. Justin Boyd Wilson (31 July 1978 – 24 August 2015) was a British professional open-wheel racing driver who competed in Formula One (F1) in , the Champ Car World Series (CCWS) from 2004 to 2007 and the IndyCar Series from 2008 to 2015. The 2009 Rexall Edmonton Indy was the eleventh round of the 2009 IndyCar Series season, and was held on July 26, 2009 at the Rexall Speedway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Ryan Christopher Hunter-Reay (born December 17, 1980) is a professional American racing driver best known as a winner of both the Indianapolis 500 (2014) and the IndyCar Series championship in 2012. The Championships are awarded each year to the driver who accumulate the most championship points over the course of the Championship season.
