2010 European Men's Handball Championship Squads
This is a list of the 2010 European Men's Handball Championship squads. Each team had until 15 December 2009 to register 28 players. Of these 28 players, the national associations must choose 16 players at least one day before the tournament. After this a maximum of two players can be replaced with a player from the original 28. After the main round has started, yet another player can be replaced. Slavko Goluža
Slavko Goluža (born 17 September 1971) is a retired Croatian handball player and current coach of RK Zagreb. Club career Goluža was born in the village of Pješivac-Kula near Stolac. He began his career with RK Mehanika Metković. At the age of 18, he moved to RK Zagreb-Chromos, with which he won two consecutive European Cups in 1992 and 1993. He won the EHF Cup with RK Metković Jambo in 2000 and the year later the club reached the final again. Goluža also played in Germany for TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke, in France for Paris Saint-Germain and in Hungary for Fotex Veszprém. International career He was a member of the Croatian national team that won Olympic gold medals twice: at the 1996 and 2004 Summer Olympics. Igor Vori (born 20 September 1980) is a Croatian retired handball player and current coach. He is currently working as the sports director of the Croatian national team. Vori competed for Croatia in the 2004, 2008 and the 2012 Summer Olympics. Club career Vori played in RK Zagreb and has also played for FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Tonči Valčić (born 9 June 1978) is a Croatian former professional handball player who currently works as an assistant coach of Croatian club RK Zagreb. He was a member of the Croatia national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Playing career Valčić began his career in Croatian powerhouse RK Zagreb where he has played for the majority of this career. Luka Raković (born 6 June 1988) is a Croatian handball player who plays for Grand Nancy Métropole HB. A Croatian international, Raković was runner-up at the 2010 European Men's Championship in Austria. Clubs Born in Zagreb, Raković played for Croatian clubs Perutnina Pipo Cakovec, RK Bjelovar and RK Zagreb. He was a member of Bosnian club Bosna BH Gas, which reached the EHF Champions League last 16 of the 2010–11 season. With the latter he won the domestic league in 2011. Ivan Pešić (handballer)
Ivan Pešić (born 17 March 1989) is a Croatian handball goalkeeper for HBC Nantes and the Croatian national team. The first few years as a player played Pešić in his hometown Rijeka in RK Zamet and with production license in Croatian second division club RK Senj. He then played for the Hungarian club MKB Veszprém KC, with which he won in the 2008/09 season, league and cup, as well as the Croatian first division club RK Zagreb, with whom he won three times the double.
