2010 Dubai 24 Hour
The 2010 TOYO Tires Dubai 24 Hour was the fifth running of the Dubai 24 Hour endurance race. The race was held at the Dubai Autodrome and was organized by the promoter Creventic. The official event commenced on 14 January and finished on 16 January 2010. The race was won by the A6 class IMSA Performance Matmut team, with Raymond Narac, Patrick Pilet and Marco Holzer piloting the team's Porsche 997 GT3 RSR to a race record distance, covering 608 laps over the 24 Hours. The podium was completed by a pair of A5 class BMW Z4 M-Coupés; the Petronas Syntium Team of Nobuteru Taniguchi, Masataka Yanagida, Fariqe Hairuman, Johannes Stuck and Hiroki Yoshida finished second, behind Narac, Pilet and Holzer, and the Al Faisal Racing team finished third, two laps behind the Petronas team, with a driving quartet of Abdulaziz and Khaled Al Faisal, Marko Hartung and Claudia Hürtgen. Dubai 24 Hour
The Dubai 24 Hour Race is both a sports car and touring car automobile endurance race held annually at the Dubai Autodrome. It was inaugurated in 2006. Entrants and participants As with all races in the 24H Series, promoted by Dutch promoter Creventic, they are open to both professional and semi-professional teams. There are both local competitors from the UAE and surrounding nations in the Persian Gulf as well as a host of international teams particularly from European nations. Unlike the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France whereby teams are invited by the organizers to compete, the Dubai 24 Hour is solely made up of teams who have registered prior to the commencing of the actual race. Ginetta Cars Limited is a British specialist builder of racing and sports cars based in Garforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire. History 20th century Ginetta was founded in 1958 by four Walklett brothers (Bob, Ivor, Trevers and Douglas) in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Their first product, the Fairlight, was a glass-fibre body shell priced at £49 for fitting to a Ford chassis. The first car, not destined for production, which subsequently became known as the Ginetta G1, was based on a pre-war Wolseley Hornet six. Craft-Bamboo Racing is an auto racing team. It was founded in 2014 after the merger of Craft Racing from Hong Kong and Bamboo Engineering from the United Kingdom. Craft Racing was established by Frank Yu in 2009 and was a front running team in Asian Championships for five years. Bamboo Engineering was formed in July 2009 in Silverstone following the departure of team director Richard Coleman from Tempus Sport. Autoracing Club Bratislava, also known as ARC Bratislava, is an auto racing team based in Slovakia. The team is led by Miro Konôpka, who has been driving for the team since its inception. ARC Bratislava are currently known for competing in the Asian Le Mans Series and also the FIA World Endurance Championship, where they lasted for two seasons in the LMP2 Pro-Am class, joining the series in 2021. AF Corse is an Italian auto racing team founded by former racing driver Amato Ferrari in 1995 in Piacenza.
