The 2010 Akron Zips men's soccer team represented the University of Akron during the 2010 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. Caleb Porter
Caleb Porter (born February 18, 1975) is an American soccer coach who most recently served as the head coach of Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew from 2019 to 2022. He was previously head coach of the Portland Timbers from 2013 until 2017. He won MLS Cup in 2015 with Portland and 2020 with Columbus. In addition to MLS, he coached the United States U-23 team in 2011–12, and the University of Akron men's team from 2006 to 2012, winning the NCAA title in 2010. A former midfielder, he played college soccer for Indiana University before his short professional career in Major League Soccer and the United Soccer League was ended by persistent knee injuries. Scott Caldwell
Scott Caldwell (born March 15, 1991) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Career Youth, college and amateur Caldwell spent a year with the New England Revolution academy, making six appearances in 2008-09 while rehabbing injuries. On February 9, 2009, it was announced that Caldwell committed to the University of Akron. In his freshman year, Caldwell made 19 appearances and went 2-for-2 in penalty kicks at the College Cup. In 2010, he made 24 appearances and scored five goals, including a game winner in the NCAA College Cup final against Louisville to capture the school's first ever national title in any sport. Eddie Ababio
Edward Kwame Ababio (born January 1, 1988) is a Ghanaian-American retired association football, soccer player. Ababio is a coach with Tampa Bay United, a youth organization supported by the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Ababio previously coached with Florida Hawks FC, a youth program based in Lithia, Florida. Career College and Amateur Born in Accra, Ghana, Ababio lived for several years in Tampa, Florida where he played for HC United and Gaither High School before joining the US Under-17 national team residency at the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida. North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Soccer
The North Carolina Tar Heels men's soccer team represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in men's NCAA Division I soccer competition. They compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels won the NCAA championship in 2001 and 2011. History The UNC men's varsity soccer team was founded in 1947 by Dr. Marvin Allen, the team's first coach. Before the team had only been at the club level. Dr. Allen led the team until 1977 when the current UNC women's soccer team coach Anson Dorrance took over. Dorrance spent 12 successful seasons with the men's team until 1988. One of the main reasons for his retirement from the men's team was to focus on the women's program, which he had begun coaching while he was the men's coach. USF Soccer Stadium
The University of South Florida athletic facilities are the stadiums and arenas the South Florida Bulls use for their home games and training. The University of South Florida currently sponsors 19 varsity athletic teams and has 11 facilities in the designated Athletics District on or adjacent to its Tampa campus, one on its St. Petersburg campus, and one elsewhere in Tampa. 18 of the 19 teams have some sort of facility in the USF Athletics District. The South Florida Bulls (also known as the USF Bulls) are the athletic teams that represent the University of South Florida. The Akron Zips men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Akron. The team is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Mid-American Conference through the 2022 season, after which it will join the Big East Conference as a single-sport member. VCU Rams Men's Soccer
The VCU Rams men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Virginia Commonwealth University, an NCAA Division I member school located in the state's capital of Richmond. The team is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Since their foundation, the team has won three conference championships, all of which came in the Colonial Athletic Association, and four regular season titles. The Rams have qualified for seven NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championships, most recently coming in 2012. Most of the team's success has come within the last 15 seasons, as they first reached the NCAA Tournament in 1997.
