2009–10 WICB President's Cup
The 2009–10 WICB President's Cup was the 36th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The competition was played as a standalone tournament, with all matches held in Guyana. Eight teams contested the competition – the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), and two development teams (Combined Campuses and Colleges and the West Indies under-19 side). The group stages were heavily impacted by rain – out of twelve matches in total, four were shortened, two ended in no result, and five were abandoned entirely. West Indies Cricket Board
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017. CWI has been a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1926. Guyana National Stadium
The Providence Stadium or Guyana National Stadium is a sports stadium in Guyana, replacing Bourda as the national stadium. The stadium was built specifically to host Super Eight matches in the 2007 Cricket World Cup held in March and April 2007. The stadium hosted six World Cup matches between March 28, 2007 and April 9, 2007, most notably the match between Sri Lanka and South Africa in which Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga became the first bowler in international cricket history to take four wickets in four consecutive balls. Kemar Roach
Kemar Andre Jamal Roach (born 30 June 1988) is a Barbadian international cricketer who plays for the West Indies. He played in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka and has represented the West Indies in Test and One Day International cricket. Roach made his Test debut in 2009 against Bangladesh when the West Indies team was weakened due to a player strike, and impressed with his bowling so that he was given an opportunity to play when the team returned to its full strength. A fast bowler, Roach is capable of express speeds and has reached on a number of occasions, and was the 7th fastest active bowler as of 3 January 2015. Alcindo Rennae Holder (born 24 September 1982) in Bridgetown. He is a West Indies cricketer who played in the 2002 U-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. Kirk Anton Edwards (born 3 November 1984) is a West Indies former international cricketer. He played as a right-handed batsman, domestically mainly for Barbados. Domestic career In May 2018, he was selected to play for the Windward Islands national cricket team in the Professional Cricket League draft, ahead of the 2018–19 season. Jonathan Lyndon Carter (born 16 November 1987) is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace. Tino Best
Tino la Bertram Best (born 26 August 1981) is a West Indian cricketer. Since 2002, he has played domestic cricket for his native Barbados, with a season at English club Yorkshire in 2010. Best made his Test debut in May 2003 and played his first One Day International a year later. A back strain incurred in May 2004 prevented Best from playing cricket until March the following year. In 2008 Best signed to play in the Indian Cricket League because he had not played international cricket since 2006. He returned to the side when the West Indies fielded a side weakened by contract disputes between leading players and the West Indies Cricket Board but was dropped shortly after. Sulieman Jamaal Benn (born 22 July 1981 in Saint James, Barbados) is a West Indian cricketer who plays international cricket for the West Indies and first-class cricket for Barbados. Benn debuted in 1999/00, as a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. He is also a fairly useful left-handed batsman with a first-class average of 17.48.
