2009–10 Serbian Hockey League Season
The Serbian Hockey League Season for 2009-2010 was the last season that was played in 2009. It differed a lot from the previous season, as HK Beostar and HK Novi Sad fell out from the league. Along with these two, HK Partizan left the regular season, in lieu of playing the stronger Slohokej Liga. HK Partizan will rejoin the competition in the playoffs. However, HK Subotica returned to the league, after a five-year absence. The league started on November 27, 2009. The Serbian Hockey League is the top league for ice hockey in Serbia. Teams The total number of teams varies from season to season, as certain clubs can't fill their senior teams due to lack of players or finances. Some clubs only participate in the junior sections. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. HK Beostar
HK Beostar was an ice hockey club from Belgrade, Serbia that played in the binational Panonian League. It was based in the Novi Beograd part of Belgrade and had its own arena called Pingvin Hala. HK Novi Sad was an ice hockey club from Novi Sad, Serbia. It played its home games at SPENS, located in Novi Sad. HK Novi Sad was founded in 1998 and stopped competing in 2009 due to economic reasons. Hokejaški klub Partizan (Serbian Cyrillic: Хокејашки клуб Партизан) is a Serbian professional ice hockey club from Belgrade. HK Partizan is one of the sport clubs that are part of Partizan sport society. They play their home games at the Pionir Ice Hall. The club currently plays in the Serbian Hockey League. HK Partizan has won 20 national championships and three cups, and is the most successful ice hockey team in Serbia. Slohokej Liga
The Slohokej League (''Slohokej Liga'') was a multinational ice hockey league in Europe. The competition was made up from teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Austria. A few teams in the league were the farm teams for clubs that played in the EBEL – Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (Jesenice and Olimpija). Other Slovenian teams used the league for future development of young Slovenian players and had the majority of their team rosters made up from players of the age of 21 and younger. HK Spartak Subotica
Hokejaški klub Spartak ( sr-Cyrl, Хокејашки клуб Спартак; en, Spartak Hockey Club) is an ice hockey club from Subotica, Serbia, currently playing in the Serbian Hockey League. It has a few tiers - juniors and adults. The club is a part of the SD Spartak Subotica sports association. History Hockey in Subotica was played before World War II. Back then it was played on the nearby Palić Lake when it was frozen in winter. Club was founded in 1939 under the name SK Palić and as part of SDŽ Spartak in 1945. KHK Crvena Zvezda
Sportski klub za hokej na ledu Crvena zvezda is an ice hockey club from Belgrade, Serbia, currently playing in the International Hockey League and the Serbian Hockey League. The club is a part of the SD Crvena Zvezda sports association. SKHL Crvena zvezda was established in 1946 and played in the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League until 1991. Since 1992, the club has won nine national league titles in the Serbian Hockey League, its last national championship coming in 2021.
