2009–10 Major Indoor Soccer League Season
The 2009–10 Major Indoor Soccer League was the sophomore season for the league, and first under the revived MISL banner. It marked the 32nd season of professional Division 1 indoor soccer. The members of the MISL's second season teams were the Baltimore Blast, the Milwaukee Wave, the Monterrey La Raza, the Philadelphia KiXX, and the Rockford Rampage. The season kicked off on November 13, 2009, with the NISL champion, Baltimore Blast, welcoming the Rockford Rampage. The regular season concluded on March 21, 2010, with the Rockford Rampage hosting Monterrey La Raza. This year also marks the first season since the KiXX founding that they would play at a new arena, the Liacouras Center, on the campus of Temple University. Lucio Gonzaga
Lucio Luiz de Oliveira Gonzaga (born August 7, 1980), known as just Lúcio Gonzaga, is a Brazilian soccer player who currently plays for Florida Tropics SC in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career South America Gonzaga was part of the youth setups at local Brazilian teams São Caetano and Juventus, and spent his early professional career playing in the lower divisions in Brazil and Uruguay, playing for RC Montevideo, Araxá, Rio Branco Andradas and São Caetano. North America Gonzaga moved to the United States in 2007 when he signed with indoor soccer team Baltimore Blast. CFG Bank Arena (originally the Baltimore Civic Center and formerly Royal Farms Arena, Baltimore Arena and 1st Mariner Arena) is a multipurpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. Arena Monterrey is an indoor arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It is primarily used for shows, concerts and indoor sports like indoor soccer, arena football and basketball. Golden Goal
The golden goal or golden point is a rule used in association football, lacrosse, field hockey, and ice hockey to decide the winner of a match (typically a knock-out match) in which scores are equal at the end of normal time. It is a type of sudden death. Under this rule, the game ends when a goal or point is scored; the team that scores that goal or point during extra time is the winner. Introduced formally in 1993, though with some history before that, the rule ceased to apply to most FIFA-authorized football games in 2004. The similar silver goal supplemented the golden goal between 2002 and 2004. The golden goal used to be played in NCAA matches up to 2021 but is still used in FIH sanctioned field hockey games. Rodion Sergeyevich "Rod" Dyachenko (; born 22 September 1983 in Georgiyevsk) is a retired Russian footballer who played in Vietnam for Than Quảng Ninh. Career Youth and college Dyachenko was born in the Russian SFSR in the Soviet Union prior to the breakup of the country in the early 1990s. Keith Tozer
Keith Tozer is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in the Major Indoor Soccer League, American Soccer League and American Indoor Soccer Association. He is currently the commissioner of the Major Arena Soccer League. Player College Tozer grew up in upstate New York. After graduating from high school, he attended Oneonta State from 1975 to 1979, where he played as a forward on the men's soccer team. He finished his four seasons at Oneonta with the school's all-time points record of 117 points off 50 goals and 17 assists.
