The 2009–10 Indian Federation Cup (known as Hero Honda Federation Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 31st season of Indian Federation Cup. East Bengal defeated Shillong Lajong on penalties to win the competition in the final for their sixth time and earned a place in the 2010 AFC Cup. Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was built in 1962 and holds the capacity of 15,000 spectators. Pune Football Club was an Indian professional football club based in Pune, Maharashtra. The club has competed in the I-League, then top flight of Indian football league system. Silchar is a city and the headquarters of the Cachar district of the state of Assam, India. It is located south east of Guwahati.
