2009–10 Idaho Vandals Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represented the University of Idaho during the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Members of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), the Vandals were led by second-year head coach Don Verlin and played their home games on campus at Cowan Spectrum in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals were overall in the regular season and in conference play, tied for sixth in the standings. They met second-seed and host Nevada in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament in Reno and lost by sixteen points. Don Verlin
Donald Gene Verlin (born June 15, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at the University of Idaho from 2008 to 2019. Prior to Idaho, Verlin was an assistant coach at Colorado State, Utah State, and Cal State Bakersfield. Early life and education Born in Roseville, California, Verlin graduated from Del Oro High School in Loomis in 1983. He graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and Colorado State University in 1993 with a master's degree in education. Pinole (Spanish for "cornmeal") is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 18,390 at the 2010 census. History The name derives from "pinole", a Nāhuatl word for a kind of flour made from the seeds of maize, chia, and various other grasses and annual herbs. Sandra Day O'Connor High School is a public high school in Helotes, Texas, United States, in the San Antonio metropolitan area. It is a part of the Northside Independent School District. Overview Opened in 1998, O'Connor High School followed the tradition of all the Northside high schools in being named after a Supreme Court justice, Sandra Day O'Connor, who served from 1981 to 2006, and was the first female justice on United States Supreme Court.
