2009–10 Fresno State Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Fresno State Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Fresno State University during the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach Steve Cleveland's fifth season at Fresno State. The Bulldogs played their home games at the Save Mart Center and were members of the Western Athletic Conference. Fresno State finished the season 15–18, 7–9 in WAC play and lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 WAC men's basketball tournament to New Mexico State. Pre-season In the WAC preseason polls, released October 20 via media teleconference Fresno State was selected to finish 6th in the coach's poll and 7th in the media poll. Steve Cleveland
Steven Cornell Cleveland (born February 4, 1952) is a former American college basketball coach. He had been men's head basketball head coach at Fresno City College, BYU, and Fresno State. Early life and education Cleveland was born in Los Angeles County and raised in Fresno, California. He attended Herbert Hoover High School in Fresno, then began his college basketball career at Fresno City College before going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to England from 1971 to 1973. Cleveland returned to Fresno City College in the 1973–74 season, after which he was named the team's Most Outstanding Player and transferred to UC Irvine. At UC Irvine, Cleveland played at forward. Paul George
Paul Clifton Anthony George (born May 2, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "PG-13", he is a seven-time NBA All-Star and six-time member of the All-NBA Team, as well as a four-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team. Gregory Stephen Smith (born January 8, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Mineros de Zacatecas of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He played college basketball for Fresno State before playing in the NBA and overseas. High school career Smith attended Edison High School in Fresno, California from 2005 to 2008. As a junior in 2007–08, he averaged 22 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five blocks per game. Diamond Ranch High School (or DRHS) is a high school that serves students from Diamond Bar and Phillips Ranch, California, United States, and is operated by the Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) in Pomona, California.
