2009–10 FC Bayern Munich Season
The 2009–10 season of Bayern Munich began on 1 July with their first training session, led by the team's new head coach Louis van Gaal. After several friendlies the first competitive game was a cup game on 1 August. The league started on 8 August. Bayern made several squad changes, signing Alexander Baumjohann, Edson Braafheid, Mario Gómez, Ivica Olić, Danijel Pranjić and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk. Andreas Görlitz returned to Munich after a two-year loan spell at Karlsruher SC, while Bayern declined the option to buy Massimo Oddo, who returned from loan to A.C. Milan, Milan. Mario Gómez
Mario Gómez García (; born 10 July 1985) is a German former professional footballer who played as a striker. He represented the Germany national team over a period of 11 years between 2007 and 2018. Gómez began his professional career with VfB Stuttgart. When the team won the Bundesliga in 2006–07, Gómez contributed 14 goals and 7 assists and was selected as German Footballer of the Year. In 2009, he signed for Bayern Munich for an estimated €30–35 million, a league record at the time. With Bayern, Gómez was the Bundesliga top scorer in 2011 and helped the team win seven trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in 2013. José Roberto da Silva Júnior (born 6 July 1974), commonly known as Zé Roberto, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a left wing-back or as a midfielder. Currently, he is a technical advisor to Palmeiras, acting directly with the players and the coaching staff. Lucimar Ferreira da Silva (born 8 May 1978), commonly known as Lúcio, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. A tall and physically strong defender who excelled in the air, Lúcio was known for his long, surging, galloping runs on the ball, which earned him the nickname ''O Cavalo'' ("The Horse"). Tim Borowski (born 2 May 1980) is a German football assistant manager of Werder Bremen and a former professional midfielder. Borowski spent 11 years of his 12-year professional career with Werder Bremen, amassing Bundesliga totals of 236 games and 32 goals and winning three major titles, including the 2004 national championship. Massimo Oddo (; born 14 June 1976) is an Italian professional football manager and a former player who played as a full-back. He was most recently in charge as the head coach of Serie C club Padova. Karlsruher SC
Karlsruher SC is a German association football club, based in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg that currently plays in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of German football. Andreas Görlitz
Andreas Görlitz (born 31 January 1982) is a German former professional footballer who played as a right-back. Club career Born in Weilheim in Oberbayern, Bavaria, West Germany, Görlitz began his professional career as a midfielder with TSV 1860 Munich, by then in the Bundesliga; his first match came on 10 February 2002, in a 2–1 loss at 1. FC Nürnberg, but he could only amass a further four league games in his first two seasons combined.
