2009 Toronto Argonauts Season
The 2009 CFL season, 2009 Toronto Argonauts season was the 52nd season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 137th overall. The Argonauts attempted to win their 16th Grey Cup championship, but they failed to make the playoffs for the second straight year, finishing the season with a 3–15 record for the first time since 1993 Toronto Argonauts season, 1993. Training camp opened on June 7 and Toronto's first pre-season game was on June 17, 2009, at the Rogers Centre, hosting the Montreal Alouettes. Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Zachary Pollari
Zachary Pollari (born October 2, 1986) is a former Canadian Football League offensive tackle for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the Argonauts in the fourth round of the 2009 CFL Draft. Pollari was later released by the Argonauts on June 17, 2010 after a game vs the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in which he fractured his sternum. After his recovery, he competed for Canada at the IFAF World Championship In Vienna, Austria in the summer of 2011. He was selected as a 1st Team All-star at the tournament. Dominique Ramone Dorsey (born May 7, 1983) is a former professional gridiron football running back and kick returner. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was originally signed by the Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2005. Byron Wesley Parker (born March 7, 1981) is a former gridiron football cornerback. He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football and college basketball at Tulane. Parker was also a member of the Montreal Alouettes, BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts, Edmonton Eskimos, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles. Jordan Younger (born January 24, 1978) is the defensive backs coach for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Kenneth Tyron Wheaton (born March 8, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona) is a former professional American football defensive back in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at the University of Oregon. Willie Marquis Pile (born May 25, 1980) is a former American football safety in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys. Dominic Picard (born June 22, 1982) is a former professional Canadian football centre and is currently the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Sherbrooke Vert & Or of U Sports.
