2009 Spengler Cup
The 2009 Spengler Cup was held in Davos, Switzerland, from December 26 to December 31, 2009. All matches were played at host HC Davos' home Vaillant Arena. The tournament featured all of the last year's tournament participants except for last year's winners Dynamo Moscow who was replaced by HC Dinamo Minsk and ERC Ingolstadt who was replaced by Adler Mannheim. Andrei Zyuzin
Andrei Yurievich Zyuzin (russian: Андрей Юрьевич Зюзин; born January 21, 1978) is a Russian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild, Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks. Playing career As a youth, Zyuzin played in the 1992 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Druzhba-78 squad, a team from Kharkiv. Ukraine. He was trained by Ukrainian coach Ivan Pravilov, who was arrested in 2012 for sexual abuse of a teenage student, and committed suicide by hanging in prison. Jaroslav Kristek
Jaroslav Kristek (born March 16, 1980) is a Czech professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), right winger currently playing for HC Brumov-Bylnice in the Czech fourth division. He was drafted in the second round, 50th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and played 6 games for them during the 2002–03 NHL season, 2002–03 season. The rest of his career has been spent in various European leagues, mainly the Czech Extraliga. He won a Slovnaft Extraliga championship with HC Košice in 2010–11 Slovak Extraliga, 2010–11. Michal (; he, מיכל , gr, Μιχάλ) was, according to the first Book of Samuel, a princess of the United Kingdom of Israel; the younger daughter of King Saul, she was the first wife of David (), who later became king, first of Judah, then of all Israel. Serge Aubin
Serge D. Aubin (born February 15, 1975) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and a former professional ice hockey centre who played 374 games in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers. He is currently serving as head coach of Eisbären Berlin in the German DEL. Playing career Aubin was drafted in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, 7th Round, 161st Overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Randy Robitaille
Randy M. Robitaille (born October 12, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He last played for HC Donbass of the Kontinental Hockey League. Robitaille has previously played for nine teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Robitaille first attracted notice playing for the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the CJHL. While not drafted by an NHL team, he was, on the basis of his offensive totals, offered a scholarship at Miami University. After two solid seasons at Miami, he was signed by the Boston Bruins of the NHL on March 17, 1997. Alexandre Daigle
Alexandre Daigle (born February 7, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. A highly touted junior prospect, Daigle was drafted first overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. After recording a modest career high of 51 points in three separate National Hockey League (NHL) regular seasons, Daigle briefly retired from hockey at age 25, but returned to the NHL two years later. Mark Bell (born August 5, 1980) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and a former professional ice hockey forward. Bell was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round (8th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Kurtis McLean
Kurtis McLean (born November 2, 1980) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre. He currently plays for Kiekko-Espoo in the Finnish Mestis. Early life McLean grew up in the small northern Ontario town of Kirkland Lake and played Midget AAA hockey for the New Liskeard Cubs. He also had a short stint with his hometown team, the Kirkland Lake Legion 87's. He attended Kirkland Lake's Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Travis Roche
Travis Roche (born June 17, 1978 in Grande Cache, Alberta and raised in Whitecourt, Alberta) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who last played for EHC Black Wings Linz of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). Playing career An offensive defenceman, Roche played two seasons for the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. The Sioux defeated The University of Maine and also Boston College in the Frozen Four (held in Providence, Rhode Island) to capture an NCAA title in his first season of play in the 1999–2000 season, and Roche was named to the WCHA All-Tournament Team. Shawn Heins
Shawn Joseph Heins (born December 24, 1973) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League for the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Atlanta Thrashers. Playing career Heins was born in Eganville, Ontario. His style of play is that of an offensive defenceman and powerplay specialist. His slapshot, though not well known, has been measured at speeds well over 100 miles per hour. Heins held the record for the hardest recorded shot of all time with the puck going 106 miles per hour, until December 3, 2006. The record was surpassed by Chad Kilger of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
