Nationwide Tour
The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental golf tour, tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level. Alex Prugh
Alexander Prugh (born September 1, 1984) is an American professional golfer who has played on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour. Early years Prugh was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He attended Joel E. Ferris High School, where he was a member of the golf team. He later went on to play at the University of Washington, where he was a three-time varsity Pac-10 All-Conference. Professional career Since turning professional in 2007, Prugh has spent most of his career playing on the second tier Nationwide Tour, where he has one victory, achieved at the 2009 Michael Hill New Zealand Open. Ben Crane
Benjamin McCully Crane (born March 6, 1976) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Crane was born in Portland, Oregon. He was introduced to golf at age five by his grandfather. He grew up playing at the nearby Portland Golf Club, where Ben Hogan won the Portland Open in 1945. Crane graduated from Beaverton High School in 1994 and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, but did not play golf for the Bears. Farmers Insurance Open
The Farmers Insurance Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played in the San Diego, California, area in the early part of the season known as the "West Coast Swing". The tournament was noted for having singer-actor Andy Williams as a celebrity host from 1968 through 1988. It originated as the San Diego Open in 1952 and used that name in its title through 1985. Title sponsors were added in 1981, first with Wickes for two years, then three with Isuzu. Shearson Lehman Brothers became the title sponsors in 1986, replaced by Buick in 1992 and Farmers Insurance in 2010. The event is organized by The Century Club of San Diego. Kris Blanks
Kris Blanks (born November 3, 1972) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and previously played on the Nationwide Tour. Blanks was born in Warner Robins, Georgia. He attended Huntingdon College. Blanks played on the Nationwide Tour in 2005, 2007, and 2008. His best finish was a win at the 2008 Bank of America Open. In 2008, he finished 13th on the Nationwide Tour Money List and thus earned his PGA Tour card for 2009 for finishing in the top 25. He has played on the PGA Tour since 2009. He finished in second place at the 2010 Puerto Rico Open. In 2011, he finished the RBC Canadian Open in a tie with Sean O'Hair and went on to lose the sudden death playoff to finish second. Puerto Rico Open
The Puerto Rico Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour that was first played in 2008. It is the only PGA Tour event ever held in Puerto Rico. The tournament is played at the Coco Beach Golf Course (previously Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico) which was designed by Tom Kite. From its inception through 2015, it was played in early March as an alternate event to the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but in 2016 it moved to late March, opposite the WGC-Dell Match Play. All four rounds are broadcast on the Golf Channel. The winner of the Puerto Rico Open earns 300 FedEx Cup points and 24 OWGR points, compared to 550 FedEx Cup and 70-80 OWGR points for World Golf Championships. As an alternate event, the winner does not earn a bid to the Masters, but still receives a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour (compared to three for a WGC event) and entry into the PGA Championship as a Tour winner. Fran Quinn
Fran Quinn Jr. (born March 11, 1965) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He previously played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Quinn was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and attended Saint John's High School, where he graduated in 1983 and Northwestern University, where he graduated in 1987 with a degree in economics. He turned professional in 1988. Quinn played his first full season on the Nationwide Tour, then Ben Hogan Tour, in 1991, where he made 13 of 25 cuts. Later in the year he finished T8 at Q-School, obtaining his PGA Tour card for 1992. He made only 6 of 18 cuts in 1992 and lost his tour card for 1993. Mathias Grönberg
Mathias David Grönberg (born 12 March 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer who has played on the European Tour, PGA Tour, and their second-tier tours. Amateur career Grönberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He won the Swedish Boys Championship in 1988 and the British Youths Open Amateur Championship in 1990. That year he helped Sweden to win the Eisenhower Trophy, and picked up the individual title at that event. Professional career Grönberg turned professional late in 1990. Vance Veazey
Vance Veazey (born June 25, 1965) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Veazey was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1989 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He turned pro in 1990. Craig Bowden
Craig David Bowden (born June 18, 1968) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. He has two children. Bowden played college golf at the University of Indianapolis and in 1989 was a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship team. Bowden has gone back and forth between the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour during his career. He was a member of PGA Tour in 1997, 2000–01, 2004, 2007, and 2010 and the Nationwide Tour in 1993, 1996, 1998-1999, 2002, 2003, 2005–06, 2008–09, and 2011–12. Rich Barcelo
Rich Barcelo (born July 12, 1975) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Barcelo played on the Nationwide Tour in 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2008-09. He was a member of the PGA Tour in 2004 and 2007. He qualified for the PGA Tour through qualifying school both times. He won his first tournament on a professional golf tour in 2009 at the Cox Classic on the Nationwide Tour. He finished 21st on the money list to earn his 2010 PGA Tour card. Steve Wheatcroft
Steven John Wheatcroft (born February 21, 1978) is an American professional golfer. Wheatcroft was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania, and attended Indiana University earning a degree in Sports Marketing and Management. He turned professional in 2001 and has played in several tours over the years. His first victory came at the Pennsylvania Open Championship in 2003. He is currently a member of the PGA Tour. In his 2006 Nationwide Tour debut season, Wheatcroft recorded only one top-10 and missed the cut 12 times. Despite his difficulties, he would perform well at the PGA Tour Q-School. He finished 7th to earn his card for 2007. He would make only 10 cuts out of 25 attempts and post one top 25. Consequently, he lost his card.
