Braly Municipal Stadium
Tom Braly Municipal Stadium is a 14,215-seat stadium in Florence, Alabama. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the University of North Alabama Lions and the Florence High School Falcons. It also hosted the NCAA Division II Football Championship games from 1986–2013, which were broadcast on ESPN. UNA holds a 252-114-8 record at Braly Stadium. It has also hosted 30 of UNA's 47 Division II Playoff games. Name The stadium is a block east of the university campus and adjacent to the Florence Middle School. Charles Thomas Martin (born January 8, 1968) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at Miami University and was previously the offensive coordinator at the University of Notre Dame. Mel Tjeerdsma ( ; born May 24, 1946) is a retired American football coach and athletic director at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. He served as the head coach at Austin College in Sherman, Texas from 1984 to 1993 and at Northwest Missouri State University from 1994 until his retirement after the 2010 season. In his 27 years as a head coach, Tjeerdsma compiled a career college football record of 242–82–4. He led the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats to three NCAA Division II Football Championship titles (1998, 1999, and 2009) and four additional NCAA Division II titles games (2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008). The University of North Alabama (UNA) is a public university in Florence, Alabama. It is the state's oldest public university. NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
