2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
The 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the fifteenth season of the Camping World Truck Series, the third highest stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. It was contested over twenty-five races, beginning with the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway and ending with the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The season was the first under the Camping World sponsorship banner. Camping World, announced on October 23, 2008, that they would sponsor the series for the next seven seasons. List Of NASCAR Truck Series Champions
The NASCAR Truck Series Drivers' Championship is awarded by the chairman of NASCAR to the most successful NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racing car driver over a season, as determined by a points system based on race results. The Drivers' Championship was first awarded in 1995 to Mike Skinner. The first driver to win multiple Championships was Ron Hornaday Jr., in 1996 and 1998. The most recent Drivers' Champion is Zane Smith who won his first championship in 2022. Overall, Nineteen different drivers have won the Championship, with Ron Hornaday Jr. holding the record for most titles at four. Crafton has the record for most consecutive Drivers' Championships, winning two from 2013 to 2014. Brandon Knupp
Brandon Knupp (born February 2, 1986) is an American former stock car racing driver. He last competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Racing career Knupp competed in 27 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races between 2007 and 2012. His best career finish was an 18th at Daytona International Speedway in 2007. Knupp also competed in a total of 51 ARCA Racing Series events between 2004 and 2008, reaching the top ten 8 times. He also attempted one NASCAR Nationwide Series event, driving the No. 75 Chevrolet for Bob Schacht Motorsports but due to a crash in practice he withdrew. Ricky Carmichael
Richard Joseph Carmichael (born November 27, 1979) is an American former professional motocross and stock car racing driver. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1997 to 2007 and in NASCAR from 2008 to 2011. Carmichael is notable for winning the AMA 450cc motocross national championship seven times and, the AMA Supercross Championship 450cc class five times. His unrivaled successes in the sport of motocross have given him the nickname "The GOAT"; standing for Greatest of All Time. Michael Samuel Wallace (born March 10, 1959) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 0 Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports. Born in Fenton, Missouri, he is the younger brother of Rusty Wallace, older brother of Kenny Wallace, and uncle of Steve Wallace. Herman Marion Sadler III (born April 24, 1969) is a candidate for the newly redrawn Virginia State Senate District 17 and was a former American professional stock car racing driver, announcer, professional wrestling promoter, and autism advocate from Emporia, Virginia. Dennis Setzer
Dennis Setzer (born February 27, 1960) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He has driven in all three of NASCAR's top series, scoring eighteen wins in the Camping World Truck Series. Beginnings Setzer made his NASCAR debut in the Busch Series in 1991 in the All Pro 300. He started 5th in his own #4 Ford Thunderbird, but crashed on lap nine and finished 40th. He ran another race the following year, at Hickory Motor Speedway in a car owned by Bill Davis. He wrecked in that race as well but still managed to finish 26th. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, driving the No. 23 Chevrolet for Rick Ware Racing. Lawson (born November 6, 1985) is an American professional stock car racing crew chief who works for Front Row Motorsports as the crew chief for Zane Smith's No. 38 Ford F-150 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
