2009 Lebanese Elite Cup
The Lebanese Elite Cup 2009 is the 12th edition of this football tournament in Lebanon. It will be held from August 29 to September 13, 2009. This tournament includes the five best teams from the Lebanese Premier League 2008-09, 2008-09 season and the Cup Winner. Since both cup finalists, Al-Ahed and Shabab Al Sahel, finished among the first five in the league, sixth placed Al-Mabarrah qualified as well. The draw took place on May 29, 2009 in Beirut. Al-Safa' SC
Safa Sporting Club () is a football club based in Wata El Msaytbeh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Founded in 1939, they won three league titles, three domestic cups, one Super Cup, and two Elite Cups; they have also reached the 2008 AFC Cup final. Safa primarily receives its support from Wata El-Museitbeh, as well as the Druze community all over Lebanon. Given their fanbase extends well in Mount Lebanon, including the city of Aley, they play the Mountain derby with Akhaa Ahli Aley.
