2009 Korean League Cup
The 2009 Korean League Cup, also known as the Peace Cup Korea 2009, was the 22nd competition of the Korean League Cup. It began on 25 March 2009, and ended on 16 September 2009. Group stage All K League clubs excluding participating clubs of the 2009 AFC Champions League entered the group stage. Clubs ranked odd-numbered places in the 2008 K League were assigned to the Group A, and even-numbered clubs were assigned to the Group B. The fledgling club Gangwon FC entered the Group A. The top two clubs of each group qualified for the knockout stage. Jeju United FC
Jeju United Football Club (Hangul: 제주 유나이티드) is a South Korean professional football club based in Jeju Province that competes in the K League 1, the top division in South Korea. In the past, the club has been known as the ''Yukong Elephants'' and ''Bucheon SK''. History An original member of the K League founded on 17 December 1982, the team was then called the Yukong Elephants. Yukong was owned and financially supported by the Sunkyoung Group's subsidiary, Yukong (currently SK Group's "SK Energy"), along with Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi as its franchise. The '' Kokkiri'' (elephant) was its mascot. The club won the league championship on only one occasion (in 1989). Chung Kyung-ho
Chung Kyung-ho (born 22 May 1980) is a former South Korean footballer. He was part of South Korean national team in the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2004 AFC Asian Cup. He was also selected for South Korea's squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup by performing a key role in qualifiers, but didn't appear in World Cup matches. Lee Seung-ryul
Lee Seung-yeoul (, Hanja: 李昇烈; born 6 March 1989) is a former South Korean football winger. He started playing football in Shin-gal High School. He is often known as one of the brightest prospects displaying attacking style in the national team. He was considered to be the newer generation of Korean footballers that will make up the national team in the future until his form started to fall. Club career FC Seoul 2008 Lee joined FC Seoul in 2008 with being drafted from the team. He played as a striker and attacking midfielder for FC Seoul. Han Dong-Won (; born 6 April 1986) is a South Korean footballer who plays for K League Challenge outfit FC Anyang on loan from Gangwon FC, (formerly FC Seoul and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma). On 22 March 2011, Han was loaned from Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma to Daegu FC for a one year. In late February 2012, he joined Suwon Bluewings on a season-long loan deal but rescinded his contract in July 2012. Ênio Oliveira Júnior, known as Eninho, (born 16 May 1981) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Cho Hyung-Ik (Hangul: 조형익; born 13 September 1985) is a South Korean footballer who plays as winger or midfielder. Club career Cho Hyung-Ik was drafted from Myongji University in Yongin, just south of Seoul to Daegu FC for the 2008 season. Adriano Neves Pereira (born 24 May 1979 in Capão da Canoa, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), commonly known as Adriano Chuva, is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Atlético Sorocaba, primarily as a striker. Yang Dong-hyen ( ko, 양동현) is a South Korean football player, who plays for K League 1 club Suwon FC. Career In the AFC U-17 Championship in 2002, he scored three goals.
