2009 International Challenge Cup
The 2009 International Challenge Cup (also called the AEGON Challenge Cup after its title sponsor) was held between March 4 and 8, 2009 at the De Uithof in The Hague. Andrei Griazev
Andrei Vladimirovich Griazev (russian: Андрей Владимирович Грязев; born 26 July 1985) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2005 Cup of China and 2007 Cup of Russia bronze medalist, 2004 World Junior champion, and 2007 Russian national champion. Personal life Griazev was born 26 July 1985 in Perm, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. Career Griazev began skating at the age of four. At the age of 11, he moved from Perm to Saint Petersburg to train with coach Alexei Mishin. He trained at the Yubileyny Sports Palace. During his time training with Mishin, Griazev learned the triple Axel jump. Griazev placed 14th at the 2002 Junior Worlds, after which Mishin sent him to work with his wife, Tatiana Mishina. Kristoffer Berntsson
Johan Kristoffer Berntsson (born 13 July 1982) is a Swedish former competitive figure skater. He is an eight-time (2000–2001, 2004–2005, 2007–2010) Swedish national champion and the five-time (2002–2005, 2007) Nordic Champion. Berntsson was the first Swede to land a triple Axel. Career Berntsson began skating at age 5. Though he started out doing both hockey and figure skating, he soon focused exclusively on the latter. Berntsson won the Swedish junior national champion in 1996–1997, a title he would go on to win the next two season as well. He skated on the international junior circuit starting in 1998–1999. Stefan Lindemann
Stefan Lindemann (born 30 September 1980) is a German retired figure skater. He is the 2004 World bronze medalist, 2005 European bronze medalist, 2000 World Junior champion, and a seven-time (2000, 2002, 2004–2007, 2010) German national champion. Career Stefan Lindeman started skating at age 4 in Erfurt at the local skating club. At age 12 he wanted to play ice hockey, but his mother kept him in figure skating. His coach was Ilona Schindler. Brian Joubert (; born 20 September 1984) is a French figure skating coach and former competitor. He is the 2007 World champion, a three-time (2004, 2007 & 2009) European champion, and the 2006–07 Grand Prix Final champion. Ruben Blommaert
Ruben Blommaert (born 5 March 1992) is a Belgian-born German pair skater. With his skating partner, Alisa Efimova, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo silver medalist. He also holds Belgian citizenship and competed for Belgium in single skating until 2010. Blommaert began representing Germany after teaming up with Annabelle Prölß to compete in pairs. They won the 2013 Cup of Nice and the 2013 German national title. He and his next partner, Mari Vartmann, won four ISU Challenger Series medals and the 2015 Cup of Nice. Justus Strid
Justus Strid (born 29 April 1987) is a retired Danish figure skater. He is the 2012 Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist, a three-time Nordic silver medalist, and a seven-time Danish national champion. Career Strid originally competed for Sweden. In 2004, he moved to Hørsholm, Denmark to be coached by Henrik Walentin and Julia Sandstrom. He himself began working as a coach at about the same time, teaching skating to children. He later changed coaches, deciding to work with his brother, Kalle Strid, and Martin Johansson. He lives in the center of Copenhagen and trains in Skatingclub Copenhagen (SKK).
