2009 Hong Kong Community Shield
2009 Hong Kong Community Shield was the first edition of the Hong Kong Community Shield. The game was a football match between the winners and the runners-up of the previous season's Hong Kong First Division League. The match was played in Hong Kong Stadium, on 17 August 2009. The two opposing teams were 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League winners South China and runners-up Kitchee. Because of Typhoon Morakot, which was currently affecting Taiwan, a part of the ticket revenue was donated to two charities, the Hong Kong Red Cross and United Christian Hospital. The game was won by Kitchee with a 2–0 victory over South China. The game's two goals were made by Spanish player Albert Virgili and Equatoguinean player Baruc Nsue. South China AA
South China Athletic Association (known simply as South China, SCAA, ) is a Hong Kong professional football club that competes in the Hong Kong First Division, the second-tier league in Hong Kong football league system. The club is historically one of the most successful football clubs in Hong Kong, having won a record 41 First Division titles, a record 31 Senior Shields, a record 10 FA Cups and 3 League Cups. The club has a very long history in playing in the top-tier league, but decided to self-relegate after the end of the 2016–17 season. Zhang Chunhui
Zhang Chunhui (, born 13 March 1983) is a Chinese-born Hong Kong football coach and former player. He is currently the goalkeeping coach of Chinese Women's Super League club Meizhou Hakka. Club career He was selected in the Hong Kong Top Footballer (Best XI Squad) for 2006–07. On 2 July 2018, it was reported that Zhang had joined Pegasus as a player-coach. He was released by the club on 5 November 2019 due to discipline issues. International career Zhang is eligible to represent Hong Kong for international competitions after living there for enough years. Lee Chi Ho
Lee Chi Ho (, born 16 November 1982 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer. His usual position is right back while occasionally playing as a central defender as well. Chan Siu Ki
Chan Siu Ki (, born 14 July 1985 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays as an amateur player for Hong Kong First Division club Eastern District. He is the all-time top scorer for Hong Kong with 40 goals. As he is capable of playing with either foot, he is sometimes tactically deployed as a winger on either flank. Club career Early career Chan was spotted by the management of Tai Po when he was playing amateur football. At that time, he was working in a store operated by his family. Kwok Kin Pong (, born 30 March 1987 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays for Hong Kong Third Division club Ravia Group. Lee Wai Lim
Lee Wai Lim (, born 5 May 1981) is a former Hong Kong professional football player and coach. He is the brother of current Lee Man player Lee Hong Lim. A former Hong Kong Footballer of the Year winner in 2009, Lee pleaded guilty in 2018 to one count each of accepting an advantage and conspiracy to defraud. He was sentenced to 180 hours of community service for his crimes. Club career Tai Po Lee joined Tai Po in the third division in 2003 after being discovered by Tai Po's secretary Chan Ping. Peter Man Pei Tak () is a former Hong Kong professional football player and current amateur player for Hong Kong First Division club Eastern District. Club career 2008–09 On 16 November 2008, Man Pei Tak played as captain and scored a wonder goal to help South China defeat arch rival Kitchee 3:1 in a league match. It was his first goal since he joined the Caroliners. 2010–11 Under coach Kim Pan-Gon, Man Pei Tak's playing opportunities were limited. Poon Yiu Cheuk (, born 19 September 1977 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong football manager and former professional player.
