2009 Copa Chile
The 2009 Copa Chile was the 30th edition of the competition. The competition started on May 10, 2009 with the Preliminary Round and concluded on November 15, 2009 with the Final. The winner qualifies for the 2010 Copa Sudamericana. Schedule Teams A record 82 clubs were accepted for the competition; one club, ''Luis Matte Larrain'', folded before the fixtures were released, leaving 81 clubs to appear in the draw. Copa Chile
The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Since the season 2009, the winners obtained a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season, however this was change starting from the 2015 edition; since then the winners obtains a direct Copa Libertadores spot for the next season. In the history of the tournament, the Primera División teams have dominated the competition; but, because this is contested in a knockout tournament format, the opportunity for lower-level teams upsetting a top level squad is a real possibility. Club de Deportes Santiago Morning (popularly known as Chaguito Morning or Morning) is a Chilean professional football club based in Recoleta, Santiago. They compete in the Primera B. Santiago Morning was one of Primera División de Chile founding members in 1933, being champion for the first time in 1942. The club was founded in 1903 when Santiago established its own association of football thanks to the management of Santiago College's students on 19 October, under the name of Santiago Football Club. Provincial Osorno is a association football, football club based in Osorno, Chile, Osorno, Los Lagos Region, Chile. The club is currently playing at the fourth tier of the Chilean football system, the Chilean Tercera División, Tercera División. Club de Deportes Naval is a Chilean football club, their home town is Talcahuano, Biobío Region. They currently play at the fifth level of Chilean football, Tercera B of Chile. Lota Schwager
Lota Schwager is a Chilean professional team based in Coronel that currently play in Tercera A (fourth-tier). Club de Deportes Copiapó — or simply Deportes Copiapó — is a Chilean football club based in Copiapó, Atacama Region. Founded in 1999 after Regional Atacama's folding, it currently plays in the Primera B (second-tier) and holds its home games at Estadio Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla which has a capacity of 8,000 spectators.
