2009 Conference National Play-off Final
The 2009 Conference Premier play-off Final, known as the 2009 Blue Square Premier play-off Final for sponsorship purposes, was a football match between Cambridge United and Torquay United on 17 May 2009 at Wembley Stadium in London. It was the seventh Conference Premier play-off Final and the third to be played at Wembley Stadium. Torquay won the match 2–0 to secure promotion to League Two, thus returning to The Football League after a two-year absence. Robbie James Willmott (born 16 May 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a winger or midfielder for Walsall on loan from Newport County. Youth career In the summer of 2006, head of Cambridge United's youth development Jez George spotted Willmott playing for Buntingford Town under 16's against Cambridge City and offered him a weeks trial at Cambridge United. Christopher Richard Todd (born 22 August 1981) is a Welsh retired footballer who played as a defender and current assistant manager of Yeovil Town. Playing career Swansea City Born in Swansea, Todd began his career as a trainee with his home town club, Swansea City, turning professional in August 1999. Lee Richard Samuel Mansell (born 23 September 1982) is an English former professional footballer who played for Luton Town, Nuneaton Borough, Oxford United, Torquay United and Bristol Rovers. He was most recently the first team manager of National League North club Gloucester City. Career Mansell was born in Gloucester and began his career as a trainee with Luton Town, turning professional with the Hatters in August 2000. Michael Poke
Michael Harold Poke (born 21 November 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was most recently goalkeeping coach of Portsmouth. Football career Southampton Born in Staines, Surrey, Poke attended Longford Community School in Tachbrook Road, Feltham before joining Southampton as a trainee. Gary Brabin (born 9 December 1970) is an English former professional footballer, coach and manager who is the Sporting Director at Cymru Premier team The New Saints. A midfielder with a 12-year career in the English Football League, he represented Stockport County, Doncaster Rovers, Bury, Blackpool, Lincoln City, Hull City and Torquay United. Danny Crow
Daniel Stephen Crow (born 26 January 1986) is a retired English footballer who is currently manager of Harleston Town. Career Crow made his senior debut as a substitute for Norwich City in a Premier League match against Middlesbrough on 28 December 2004. He was loaned to Northampton Town towards the end of the 2004–05 season, where he scored two goals in ten games, and released by Norwich that summer. He signed for League Two side Peterborough United at the start of the 2005–06 season, becoming the club's top goalscorer with 17 goals. Christopher Holroyd (born 24 October 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker. Holroyd started his football career at Crewe Alexandra, progressing through the club's youth system. He subsequently joined Chester City for the third year of his scholarship, and signed professional terms in 2006. In July 2008, Holroyd left Chester by mutual agreement with a year remaining on his contract. Jon Challinor (born 2 December 1980) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Stamford. He has played in the Football League for York City. Andrew John Parkinson (born 27 May 1979) is an English former professional footballer and youth team manager of Tranmere Rovers. As a player he was a forward, attacking midfielder and winger from 1997 to 2015. Daryl McMahon (born 10 October 1983) is an Irish former football player and manager who was most recently manager of club Dagenham & Redbridge. McMahon represented the Republic of Ireland Under-16 team at the 2000 UEFA European Under-16 Football Championship. Lee Paul Phillips (born 16 September 1980) is an English semi-professional footballer Career A striker, Phillips, began his football career as a youth trainee with Plymouth Argyle, turning professional in the 1996 close season. He made his league debut, as a late substitute for Neil Illman, in Argyle's 2–0 win at home to Gillingham on 29 October 1996 and made one further appearance that season. He went on to make over 50 first team appearances for Plymouth, although over half of them were as a substitute.
