2009 Brno Formula Two Round
The 2009 Brno Formula Two round was the second round of the 2009 FIA Formula Two Championship season. It was held on 20 and 21 June 2009 at Masaryk Circuit at Brno, Czech Republic. The first race was won by Mirko Bortolotti, with Mikhail Aleshin and Philipp Eng also on the podium. Masaryk Circuit
The Masaryk circuit ( cz, Masarykův okruh) or Masarykring, also referred to as the Brno Circuit, refers to two motorsport race tracks located in Brno, Czech Republic. The original street circuit was made up of public roads, and at its longest measured . In 1949, events such as the Czechoslovakian Grand Prix attracted top teams and drivers. The track is named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Racing on the old roads ended after 1986, when the new (current) circuit was opened. The annual Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Czech Republic is the circuit's most important event. It has been held here since 1950 and is the most famous motor race in the Czech Republic. Miloš Pavlović (racing Driver)
Miloš Pavlović ( sr-cyrl, Милош Павловић; born 8 October 1982) is a Serbian professional racing driver. Biography Karting Pavlović was born in Belgrade. His career began in 1991 in go-karts, winning two national titles the following year. He went in 1993 to Italy, where in his very first season, Miloš became regional champion of Italy, reached second place in the Winter Cup and was very successful in a dozen other races. He became vice-champion of Europe in Portugal (Braga), and he came third in the World Championship in Italy (Ugento), and was named Yugoslav Driver of the Year. Jens Höing (born February 21, 1987 in Münster) is a German racing driver. Career Formula BMW After a five-year karting career, Höing moved up into the Formula BMW ADAC championship via a scholarship. Driving for Team Rosberg, Höing scored 2 points in 2005, but stayed in the series for 2006, but changed teams to GU-Racing. He improved from 23rd in 2005 to 14th in 2006, but still didn't crack the higher echelons of the standings, only amassing thirteen points. A new points system was introduced in 2007, which meant that Höing scored over 200 points but yet remained in 14th place overall. Alex Brundle (born 7 August 1990) is a British Auto racing, racing driver and broadcaster who currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Inter Europol Competition. Jason Moore (born 10 October 1988 in Bedford, England) is a motor racing driver. Career Karting Moore began his karting career in 2000 aged 11, with a campaign in the Super 1 National Cadet Championship. Moore finished 24th in the championship, with a best finish of 10th coming at Rowrah. Moore then moved up to the Super 1 National Junior TKM Championship for three seasons. In 2001, he finished in a lowly 25th place in the championship, with his best finish of 15th coming at the final round at Buckmore Park. The 2002 season was far more successful, as he broke into the top ten, eventually finishing in ninth place. A sixth place at Buckmore was his best result of the season. 2003 was his best season, as he ended up runner-up in the championship, just twenty points behind champion Lee Bell. Pietro Gandolfi
Pietro Gandolfi (born April 21, 1987 in Parma) is an Italian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Gandolfi began his racing career at the age of thirteen, competing in kart racing for four years. In 2004 he became a racing instructor at the Henry Morrogh Motor School in Perugia, driving a Formula Renault 1600 car for the first time as well at around this time. In 2006, Gandolfi competed in five races of the Italian Formula Renault Championship. The following year he moved to the equivalent Swiss series, taking 21st position in the championship. He remained in the category for 2007, but slipped to 26th overall. Formula Two Gandolfi signed to drive for the relaunched FIA Formula Two Championship in 2009. Germán Sánchez Flor (born 4 July 1989 in Alicante) is a Spanish racing driver. Career Formula Three Sánchez made his car racing debut aged just sixteen, when he took part in the 2006 European F3 Open Championship, Spanish Formula Three Championship. Driving a Dallara F300 for Escuela Profiltek, Sánchez was also eligible for the secondary Copa de España as he was driving an older car than most other competitors. Armaan Ebrahim (born 17 May 1989) is a car racer from Chennai, India. He is the son of the ex-Indian F3 champion Akbar Ebrahim. Career Ebrahim started his career in karting and became Formula LGB Champion in 2004. He later moved to Formula BMW Asia for the 2005 season. During the same year he represented A1 Team India in the A1 Grand Prix Championship, driving in 6 races, before the team was disbanded due to lack of funds. Sebastian Hohenthal (born 5 November 1984 in Mora) is a former racing driver from Sweden. Career Karting Hohenthal competed in kart racing from 1995 to 2000. During this period he won the Dalacupen Formula Micro in 1996, the Tom Trana Trophy ICA Junior in 1999, and both the Nordic and Swedish ICA Junior championships in 2000. Formula Ford Hohenthal stepped up to formula racing in 2001, driving in the local Nordic and Swedish Formula Ford championships. In 2003, driving for rally driver Stig Blomqvist's team, he won both titles. In the same year, he moved to the United Kingdom racing scene to drive for the Nexa Racing team.
