2009 Anzac Test
The 2009 ANZAC test, was a Test match (rugby league), rugby league test match played between Australian Kangaroos, Australia and New Zealand national rugby league team, New Zealand at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 8 May 2009. It was the 10th Anzac test played between the two nations since the first was played under the Super League (Australia), Super League banner in 1997 ANZAC Test, 1997. This was the fourth Anzac Test played in Brisbane. This was the 112th test between Australia and New Zealand since 1908. Australian Kangaroos
The Australian National Rugby League Team, the Kangaroos, have represented Australia in senior men's rugby league football competition since the establishment of the 'Northern Union game' in Australia in 1908. Administered by the Australian Rugby League Commission, the Kangaroos are ranked fourth in the RLIF World Rankings. Super League was an Australian rugby league football administrative body that conducted professional competition in Australia and New Zealand for one season in 1997. Nathan Fien (born 1 August 1979), also known by the nickname of "Fieny", is a former New Zealand international rugby league footballer who played as a and in the 2000s and 2010s. He last played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the National Rugby League. A former Queensland State of Origin representative or , he previously played club football with the North Queensland Cowboys and New Zealand Warriors before moving to St. George in 2009. Darren James Lockyer (born 24 March 1977) is an Australian television commentator and former professional rugby league footballer. Lockyer was an Australian international and Queensland State representative captain, who played his entire professional career with the Brisbane Broncos.
