The 2009 Algarve Cup was the sixteenth edition of the Algarve Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Portugal. It took place between 4 and 11 March 2009. Kerstin Garefrekes
Kerstin Garefrekes (born 4 September 1979) is a German former footballer who played as a striker or midfielder . Career Club Garefrekes began her career in 1986 at her local football club Grün-Weiß Steinbeck, before joining DJK Arminia Ibbenbüren. In 1998, she moved to the newly founded Bundesliga side FFC Heike Rheine. Garefrekes was relegated to the second division with Heike Rheine in 1999, but achieved immediate promotion back to the Bundesliga the following season. Trine Rønning
Trine Bjerke Rønning (born 14 June 1982) is a former Norwegian footballer. She has previously played for Trondheims-Ørn and Kolbotn. Since making her Norway women's national football team debut in October 1999, she has won over 150 caps. Rønning represented her country at the 2005, 2009 and 2013 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship, after being a non-playing squad member in 2001. Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir (born 29 September 1990) is an Icelandic professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian Serie A club Juventus FC and captains the Iceland women's national team. Kristin Lie (born 13 December 1978) is a Norwegian footballer who played as a striker for Egge. She was also capped while playing for Norway. Career Lie was born in Steinkjer and grew up in Namdalseid in Nord Trøndelag, where she started her football career with three local clubs, Namdalseid, Beitstad and Verdal. Inka Grings (born 31 October 1978) is a German former international footballer who played as a striker. She played sixteen years for FCR 2001 Duisburg before joining FC Zürich Frauen. She also played for the Germany national team.
