Scottish Football League Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. A fourth tier, known as the Third Division, was created in 1994. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the SFL to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The Second Division continued as before, but it was now the second level of the SFL. In 2013, the SFL and SPL merged to form the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Stark's Park
Stark's Park is a football stadium in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. It is the home ground of Raith Rovers, who have played there since 1891. The ground has an all-seated capacity of 9000 History Raith started using the ground in 1891 and it seats . It is located in Kirkcaldy, Fife. The park can clearly be seen from the railway line on the route between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The unusual L-shaped main stand that houses the players dressing facilities and the supporters lounge was designed by the renowned ''Grandstand'' architect Archibald Leitch and was built with part funding from the sale of Alex James to Preston North End in 1925. Martin Bavidge
Martin Bavidge (born 30 April 1980) is a Scottish retired professional footballer. He played as a forward. Bavidge started his career with Forres Mechanics in the Highland Football League before going on to play for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Forfar Athletic, Peterhead and Inverurie Loco Works. Bavidge has worked in the oil industry since 2003. He missed a Scottish Cup replay against Raith Rovers in December 2009, due to having to travel to Texas to satisfy work commitments. Graeme Sharp
Graeme Marshall Sharp (born 16 October 1960) is a Scottish former professional football player and manager. Sharp played as a forward for Dumbarton, Everton, Oldham Athletic and Bangor City. He enjoyed great success with Everton, helping them win English league championships in 1985 and 1987, the FA Cup in 1984 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985. He made 12 international appearances for Scotland, and was selected in their 1986 World Cup squad. Sharp moved to Oldham Athletic in 1991, and helped the newly-promoted club stay in the top flight for three seasons. He was appointed player-manager of Oldham in November 1994, but he left the club in March 1997 with them on the verge of being relegated to the third tier. Graham Weir
Graham Weir (born 10 July 1984) is a Scottish former footballer. Career Weir started his career at Heart of Midlothian, making his senior debut in 2001 in a 3–2 loss against Aberdeen, where he was sent off in the final minute for kicking Robbie Winters. During his Hearts career his goals-to-games ratio was unremarkable, although he is noted for scoring two goals in the last minute of added time against Hibernian in the ''Edinburgh Derby'' of 2 January 2003. Hibernian scored two late goals in 89th and 92nd minutes to go 4–2 up. However, the two goals by Graham Weir in the last 42 seconds of injury time marked an even more dramatic comeback by the Hearts, for a final score of 4–4. Ryan Cairns Stevenson (born 24 August 1984) is a Scottish professional footballer who played for Heart of Midlothian and St Johnstone, as well as English side Ipswich Town . He is currently manager of West of Scotland Football League side Glenafton Athletic. Personal life Stevenson was born in Irvine, Ayrshire, and was a boyhood Ayr United fan as stated on BBC Scotland. He was a pupil at Drongan Primary School and Kyle Academy in Ayr. In April 2013, Stevenson was banned from driving for a period of 20 months, following being arrested for drink driving. He later apologised for the incident, stating that "I accept the consequences of my actions. Martin Grehan
Martin Grehan (born 9 October 1984) is a Scottish footballer who used to play as a forward. Career Grehan was born in Glenrothes. After a spell in the East Fife Youth system, Grehan spent some time in the Amateurs with Fife side Kettle United. During his time at United he played with the Scotland Amateur Team. Grehan then joined Scottish Premier League club Motherwell from junior team Dundonald Bluebell in January 2008. He became the first junior player to join the club since legend Dougie Arnott back in the late 1980s. Soon after, Grehan went on a month's loan to Scottish Football League Third Division club Forfar Athletic, and made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut. David Leslie McKenna (born 19 September 1986) is a Scottish footballer, who plays for Renfrew FC as a striker. He has also played for St Mirren, Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion, Brechin City, Stranraer, East Stirlingshire and Annan Athletic. Career Born in Paisley, McKenna started his career at St Mirren. On 7 January 2006 he joined Cowdenbeath on loan, scoring 11 goals in a half season spell which saw him play a large role in the Blue Brazil winning their first league title in 67 years. Bryan Prunty
Bryan Prunty (born 12 January 1983) is a Scottish former footballer who is currently on the backroom staff at Scottish Championship club Airdrieonians. Career Club Prunty began his career with Celtic, but he failed to make a senior appearance. In January 2004, he moved to fellow Scottish Premier League club Aberdeen, making his senior debut in a Scottish Cup replay victory against Dundee on 21 January 2004. His first senior goal came on 27 March 2004 in a 3–1 defeat against Kilmarnock. At the end of the 2003–04 season, Prunty was told by manager Jimmy Calderwood that he could leave the club. The 2009–10 Scottish Football League Third Division (also known as the 2009–10 Irn-Bru Scottish Football League Third Division for sponsorship reasons) was the 15th season in the format of ten teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football.
