The 2008–09 season was the 109th season in Società Sportiva Lazio's history and their 21st consecutive season in the top-flight of Italian football. Lazio finished in 10th place in Serie A, however, won the Coppa Italia this season. Ousmane Dabo
El Hadji Ousmane Dabo (born 8 February 1977) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Dabo played for Rennes, Inter Milan, Vicenza, Parma, Monaco, Atalanta, Lazio, Manchester City and New England Revolution. He represented France three times at full international level. Early life Dabo was born in Laval, Mayenne. Club career Early career Dabo started his career at Rennes, before he and team-mate Mikaël Silvestre were signed by Inter Milan in 1998. Dabo was not a regular first team player for Inter, and a few months later he was loaned out to Vicenza, where he made 13 Serie A appearances. Libor Kozák
Libor Kozák (born 30 May 1989) is a Czech professional footballer who last played as a striker for Slovácko. Club career SFC Opava Kozák started his career in 2001 with Czech club Slezský FC Opava, first playing with its youth teams before being promoted to the first team in 2007. Considered a promising talent, Kozák was a prolific goalscorer in the Czech Second Division with Opava. In October 2007, he scored his first hat-trick, coming in a 5–1 Opava win against FC Zenit Čáslav in the second division. In January 2008, Kozák went on trial with English Premier League club Portsmouth, however he did not join Pompey. At the end of the season, Italian giants Lazio came calling and Kozák accepted a move to Rome. Goran Pandev
Goran Pandev ( mk, Горан Пандев, ; born 27 July 1983) is a Macedonian former professional footballer who played as a forward. After establishing himself at Lazio, Pandev moved to Inter Milan in early 2010. While playing for the ''Nerazzurri'', Pandev collected a host of honours including winning the Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League in 2010 as part of a treble for the club. On 22 April 2021, he became the first Macedonian to score 100 goals in one of the top five European football leagues. He was the captain of the North Macedonia national team until deciding to retire from international football in 2021, following UEFA Euro 2020. He is the country's all-time top scorer with 38 goals. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Tommaso Rocchi
Tommaso Rocchi (; born 19 September 1977) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as striker. He spent a large part of his career with Lazio and is the club's sixth highest goalscorer of all time, three behind Bruno Giordano. At international level, Rocchi was capped three times for the Italy national team. Club career Early years Born in Venice, Rocchi began playing football in his home city and joined the youth ranks of Venezia at nine years of age. He came up through the ranks in the Venezia junior system before signing for giants Juventus in 1994. Pasquale Foggia
Pasquale Foggia (; born 3 June 1983) is an Italian former footballer, who played as a left winger or attacking midfielder. A quick and creative player, he was predominantly known for his dribbling skills and his ability to create chances for teammates. Club career Born in Naples, Italy, Foggia started playing football at a young age for local Neapolitan side Cral Banco di Napoli. He was then spotted by Padova and spent some time in their youth system before briefly playing in AC Milan's youth team before being involved in two long-term co-ownership deals (with Empoli and Treviso). Alessandro Tuia
Alessandro Tuia (born 8 June 1990) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club Cremonese. Club career Tuia is a product of the Lazio youth academy and former captain of the '' Primavera'' youth team, being invited to train with the senior side in the 2008-09 season. He made his Serie A debut on 31 May 2009, when he came off the bench in the second half of Lazio's 2–0 defeat to Juventus in the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. Tommaso Berni
Tommaso Berni (born 6 March 1983) is a retired Italian professional footballer who last played as a goalkeeper for Inter Milan. Club career Early career Berni started his career at Fiorentina. In 1998, he joined Inter Milan. He was a backup goalkeeper for their Primavera youth team in 2001 Torneo di Viareggio. Marco Varaldi was the starting keeper. Sebastiano Siviglia (born 29 March 1973) is an Italian football coach and a former player who played as a defender. Throughout his career, Siviglia played over 250 matches in the Italian Serie A for several clubs, in particular Lazio, where he made over 150 league appearances. Stefano Mauri
Stefano Mauri (; born 8 January 1980) is an Italian former footballer, who spent most of his career with Lazio, also serving as the club's captain. A versatile midfielder, he was capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, as a central midfielder, and as a winger, or even in a more advanced role, as a second striker, courtesy of his dribbling skills, precise passing, and playmaking ability.
