The 2008–09 Rochdale A.F.C. season was the club's 88th season in the Football League, and the 35th consecutive season in the bottom division of the League. Rochdale finished the season in 6th place in League Two, but missed out on promotion to League One after losing in the play-off semi-final against Gillingham. Samuel Ian Russell (born 4 October 1982) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is an academy goalkeeping coach at EFL League One side Forest Green Rovers As a player he was a goalkeeper from 2000 until 2021. Scott Wiseman
Scott Nigel Kenneth Wiseman (born 9 October 1985) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Lincoln Red Imps. His preferred position is right-back. Nathan Amarkine D'Laryea (born 3 September 1985, in Manchester) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. Adam Rundle (born 8 July 1984) is an English footballer who made nearly 300 appearances in the Football League. Career Darlington A left-sided midfielder who began his career in Newcastle United's youth team, Rundle was released by the club in 2001 without being offered a professional contract. Christopher Dagnall (born 15 April 1986) is an English footballer who plays for side Hanley Town. He began his career at Tranmere Rovers, where he debuted age 17 in 2003. Lee Richard McEvilly (born 15 April 1982) aka 'The Sheriff' is a retired footballer who played as a striker. Although born in England, he won one cap for the Northern Ireland national team in 2002 and also played for Northern Ireland at under-21 and under-23 levels. Clark Stuart Keltie (born 31 August 1983) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Sorrento FC.
