2008–09 Professional Arena Soccer League Season
The 2008–09 Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) is the inaugural season for the league. The PASL-Pro is the largest indoor soccer league, hosting 21 teams spreading from Canada, the United States of America, and the Mexico. All US soccer clubs were invited to play in the United States Open Cup for Arena Soccer which 25 PASL-Pro and Premier Arena Soccer League, PASL-Premier teams, respectively, played in, as well as future PASL-Pro team, the San Diego Sockers (PASL), San Diego Sockers. The league kicked off at the Stockton Arena with the Stockton Cougars defeating the Colorado Lightning 10-5. The regular season concluded March 8, 2009 with three separate matches. On March 15, 2009 the Stockton Cougars won the inaugural championship 13-5 over 1790 Cincinnati. Professional Arena Soccer League

Jeff Hughes (born August 20, 1984 in Covington, Kentucky) is an American professional soccer player. Career Youth and college Growing up in Northern Kentucky, Hughes set several area records for goals scored while playing at Holmes High School. During his senior season, he set the Region record for goals scored in a season and was voted 2001 Northern Kentucky Player of the Year. After high school Hughes chose to play soccer for NCAA Division I Western Michigan University, and then later transferred to the University of Cincinnati at the end of his sophomore year. Professional Hughes left the college ranks after just one season with the UC Bearcats, forfeiting his remaining NCAA eligibility to play professionally. Elvir "Fufi" Kafedžić (born 19 December 1981) is a Bosnian-American footballer. Youth and college soccer Kafedžić grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aftermath of the Bosnian War, before his family immigrated to Berlin, Germany in the early 1990s. Brian Farber (born April 15, 1982 in Sandpoint, Idaho) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the San Diego Sockers in the Major Arena Soccer League. Career College Farber won the Idaho State Soccer Player of the Year award in 2000 before playing college soccer at North Idaho College, where he remains the school's career record-holder for points.
