2008–09 Indonesia Super League
The 2008–09 Indonesia Super League was the first edition of the Indonesia Super League, which replaced the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, Premier Division as the top-tier Indonesian football league system, football competition in the country. The league was sponsored by Djarum and was officially called Djarum Super Liga Indonesia (SLI) or Djarum Indonesia Super League (ISL). Persipura Jayapura clinched the title after winning a match 3–1 against Persija Jakarta on 17 May 2009. This was their first Indonesia Super League title and second title, counting the Premier Division era. Liga 1 ( en, League 1), also known as BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons with Bank Rakyat Indonesia, is the men's top professional football division of the Indonesian football league system. Administered by the PT Liga Indonesia Baru (), Liga 1 is contested by 18 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Liga 2. Top-flight professional league in Indonesia started from the 2008–09 season onwards, initially under the name of Indonesia Super League until 2015. Prior to the 2008 reforms, the national competitions used a tournament format. Liga 1, which started in 2017, is the latest rebranding of the league. 2009–10 Indonesia Super League
The 2009–10 Indonesia Super League was the second edition of this newly born competition (which replaced the Premier Division as the top rank of football system in the country. Persipura Jayapura were the defending champions, having won their first title in the previous season, or the second title if counting the Premier Division era, equalling the record for the most top league titles, along with Persik Kediri. The campaign began on 11 October 2009. A total of 18 teams competed in the league, 14 of which contested the 2008–09 season and four of which were promoted from the Premier Division. The title was won by Arema Indonesia. This was their second title in their history. Malang Regency
The Malang Regency is a regency in East Java, Indonesia. Malang Regency is the second largest regency in East Java after Banyuwangi Regency, with a total area of 3,530.65 km2. Bontang Football Club (formerly known as PKT Bontang or Pupuk Kaltim) is an Indonesian professional football team located in Bontang, East Kalimantan in the island of Borneo. Persitara Jakarta Utara or just Persitara is an Indonesian football club based in North Jakarta (Utara means North). Currently, Persitara plays in the Liga 3. The club's home base are the Tugu Stadium. History The history of the establishment of Persitara itself cannot be separated from the role of Persija Jakarta as the parent of Jakarta football.
