2008–09 Croatian Second Football League
The 2008–09 Druga HNL (also known as 2. HNL) season was the 18th season of Croatia's second level football since its establishment in 1992. Croatia Sesvete were league champions and were promoted to Prva HNL at the end of the previous season. The league featured 16 clubs, playing in a double round robin league system. Druga HNL
The Prva nogometna liga ( en, First football league), commonly Prva NL or 1. NL, is the second tier of the football league system in Croatia. The league was formed in 1991 with the breakup of Yugoslavia and the dissolution of the Yugoslav Second League. The 1. NL is operated by the Croatian Football Federation, which also was formed in 1991, contributing (along with the newly formed Football Association of Slovenia) to the dissolution of the Football Association of Yugoslavia. Between the 2001–02 season and 2005–06 season, the league was split in two divisions, one being the Northern Croatian Second League and the other being the Southern Croatian Second League. NK Belišće
NK Belišće is a Croatian football club based in the town of Belišće. History NK Belišće was founded in 1919 under the name BŠK (Belišćanski športski klub). The club's name was changed in 1925 to BRŠK (Belišćanski radnički športski klub). During World War II the club was named Viktorija. From 1945 until the 1960 club was called FD Proleter and from 1960 carries the current name. The club from its beginnings until today, closely related to the factory "Belišće" d.d. Stadium NK Belišće host domestic matches at Gradski stadion Belišće which has a capacity of 3,000. Supporters The team's fans are known as Baraberi. The most passionate group of Baraberi encourages their favorites wherever they played, and on the home match at the Gradski stadion is located on the eastern stand. NK Mosor
NK Mosor, also known as HBDNK "Mosor – Sveti Jure", is a Croatian football club from Žrnovnica, settlement which is part of the city of Split on the Croatian coast. The club was founded in 1928. It existed until World War II when most of its members enlisted in the army. When the war ended, the club had experienced such a high rate of fatalities that it was disbanded. In 1964 a team was once again formed. Since the 1990s the club has spent most of its time in the second division, never gaining promotion to the first league. HNŠK Moslavina
HNŠK Moslavina is a Croatian football club based in the town of Kutina. History The club was founded as Hrvatski nogometni športski klub Moslavina (Croatian Football Sports Club Moslavina) in 1919 by group of students led by Milan Marcijuš, Zlatko Golner, Otokar Pavičić and Imbro Rechnitzer. In its first official game, Moslavina played host to Građanski from Pakrac and ended up losing 9–1. Over the following three decades, the team participated in regional competitions, before qualifying for the top Croatian football league competition (''Hrvatska nogometna liga'') in 1951 under the name Radnik Moslavina, as the club was called from 1946 to 1951. That same year Radnik Moslavina also reached the Yugoslav Cup Round of 64. After a brief period under the name Metan (1951–1959), the club was renamed back to Moslavina. NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac
Nogometni klub Hrvatski dragovoljac ( en, Football Club Hrvatski dragovoljac), commonly referred to as NK Hrvatski dragovoljac or simply Hrvatski dragovoljac, is a Croatian football club based in the Novi Zagreb neighbourhood of the country's capital city of Zagreb. Nogometni klub Inter Zaprešić was a Croatian professional football club based in Zaprešić, a town northwest of the capital Zagreb. Nogometni klub Zagora Unešić ( en, Football Club Zagora Unešić), commonly referred to as NK Zagora Unešić or simply Zagora Unešić, is a Croatian football club based in Unešić. They currently play in the Croatian Third Football League. The club has 400 members, in spite of being from a village of only 1500 people. History NK Zagora was founded in 1948. One of the club's most significant moments came in its cup runs in 2007–08. Zagora won the 2007 County Cup, in which scorer Ivo Šupe was given a lamb for his efforts. The county cup qualified them for the national cup, where Zagora made a run to the quarterfinal. Šupe, a postman, would score twice in Zagora's 7–2 two-legged quarterfinal loss against Dinamo Zagreb.
