2008–09 B Group
The 2008–09 B Group was the 53rd season of the Bulgarian B Football Group, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. The season started on 16 August 2008 and finished on 17 June 2009 with the A Group promotion play-off between the runners-up from both divisions. Second Professional Football League (Bulgaria)
The Bulgarian Second Professional Football League ( bg, Втора професионална футболна лига, Vtora Profesionalna Futbolna Liga), also known as Second League ( bg, Втора Лига) or Vtora liga, is the second level of the Bulgarian football league system, below First League and above the Third League. Sixteen teams take part in the league, each playing twice against all the other, once home and once away. Most matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays. The league is administered by the Bulgarian Professional Football League. In 2016, the B Group's name was rebranded to Second Professional Football League. Competition format A team receives 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. FC Bansko
Bansko ( bg, Банско) is a Bulgarian professional association football club from the town of Bansko, currently playing in the South-West Third League, the third division of Bulgarian football. Its home matches take place at the Saint Petar Stadium. The club was founded in 1951. Until the 2008–09 season, the team participated in either the amateurs Bulgarian divisions. After the union by the two clubs from Blagoevgrad – "Pirin" and "Pirin 1931", FC Bansko took licence of Pirin for participation in the West B Group. History Bansko was founded in 1951. PFC Balkan Botevgrad
FC Balkan Botevgrad ( bg, ФК Балкан Ботевград, FK Balkan Botevgrad) is a Bulgarian football club, playing in the city of Botevgrad. The stadium of the club is "Hristo Botev" in Botevgrad with capacity of 8,000 people. History The club was established in 1929 with the name "Stamen Panchev". In 1945, the club was renamed "Hristo Gurbov". Since 1947, the name is "Balkan". The main kit-colours of the team are green and white. Throughout its history, the club has participated in either the second or the third Bulgarian division. Currently the team is playing in the Southwest Third League. From 2005, the chairman of the club is Tihomir Ninov. OFC Kom ( bg, ОФК Ком) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Berkovitsa, currently playing in the A RFG Montana, the fourth level of Bulgarian football.
