Cartoon Network (Africa)
Cartoon Network is one of two digital children's television channels that air animated series: Cartoon Network Middle East and North Africa (MENA), which serves the Middle East and North Africa division along with Cyprus; and Cartoon Network Africa (formerly known as Cartoon Network EMEA), which exclusively serves Sub-Saharan Africa. Both feeds are owned by Warner Bros. Discovery under its International division. The network began as part of the larger UK/pan-European service on 17 September 1993; the UK branch would separate itself in October 1999, but kept a nearly identical schedule until August 2001. Cartoon Network EMEA used to share channel space with TNT Africa; the latter would air from 21:00 to 06:00 CET, while the former would run for the rest of the day. ''My Spy Family'' is a British live action family comedy series created by Paul Alexander. The series is a co-production between Kindle Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting System Europe with Decode Enterprises handling distribution. The series aired on: Cartoon Network and Boomerang in UK, TG4 in Ireland, Panda Biggs in Portugal, and Cartoon Network in France, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Poland, Romania, and South Africa. All the music is written by Glenn Keiles excluding some songs heard in the "Intelligence Agency Cafe", these have been co-written with other songwriters. Plot synopsis The show is about the Bannon family, who all have strong spy links. The parents, Dirk and Talia, were once arch enemy spies, but fell in love and got married. They now have three children (Spike, Elle and Boris) who have all been brought up with spy techniques as a matter of course. SABC1
SABC 1 is a South African public television network operated by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) which carries programming in English and Nguni languages, Nguni. It was created in 1996, after the SABC restructured its television channels. SABC 1 carried much of its programming over from the defunct CCV (Contemporary Community Values) network, which was itself made up of the former TV2, TV3 and TV4 timeshared channels created in the 1980s. SABC 1 generates the widest audience in South Africa due to its programming diversity, airing SABC's longest-running soap-opera, ''Generations (South African TV series), Generations'', ''Uzalo'' and ''Skeem Saam.'' ''House of Payne'' is an American sitcom television series created and produced by Tyler Perry that premiered in syndication on June 21, 2006. SABC 2 is a South African family public television channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). SABC 2 broadcasts programming in English, Sepedi, Afrikaans, Venda, and Tsonga. As of August 2018, the channel started broadcasting in high definition. History SABC began trialling its first television service on 5 May 1975 in South Africa's largest cities, and officially launched its first television channel on 6 January 1976 under the name SABC Television/SAUK-Televisie. On 1 January 1981, it changed its name to TV1, with the launch of two new services: TV2 broadcasting in Zulu and Xhosa and TV3 broadcasting in Sotho and Tswana, both targeted at a Black urban audience and broadcasting on the same television frequency. The series premiered on Network Ten in Australia on November 11, 2007, airing two seasons before ending on November 7, 2008. M-Net Series is a defunct group of television channels broadcast by South African pay TV satellite network M-Net across Sub-Saharran Africa on DStv. Most of the programmes broadcast are repeats of episodes previously shown on M-Net. History A single series channel was introduced in 2000 as a sister channel to the original M-Net channel. On 9 July 2013, this channel was split into three, namely ''M-Net Series Showcase'', ''M-Net Series Reality'' and ''M-Net Series Zone''.
