2008 Wimbledon Championships – Boys' Singles
Donald Young was the defending champion, but did not complete in the Juniors this year. Grigor Dimitrov defeated Henri Kontinen in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the boys' singles tennis title at the 2008 Wimbledon Championships. Kontinen would go on to become a future World No. 1 doubles player and win the 2016 Mixed Doubles title at these Championships. This event also featured future Wimbledon Men's Singles finalist Milos Raonic. Grigor Dimitrov
Grigor Dimitrov ( bg, Григор Димитров, ; born 16 May 1991) is a Bulgarian professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 3 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first achieved on 20 November 2017, making him the highest-ranked Bulgarian player in history. Dimitrov achieved the ranking after winning the biggest title of his career at the season-ending ATP Finals. He has won eight ATP Tour singles titles to date. Chase Buchanan
Chase Buchanan (born June 4, 1991) is an inactive American male tennis player. Buchanan grew up and attended grade school and high school in New Albany, Ohio and attended Ohio State University as a member of the tennis team. Career Buchanan reached no. 6 on the junior rankings on March 9, 2009. His first title came at age 15 on the junior tour. He emerged victorious at the Panama Bowl in both singles, emerging from the qualifying to do so; and doubles, alongside fellow 2009 U.S. Open wildcard Devin Britton. Daniel Evans (born 23 May 1990) is a British professional tennis player from England. Takanyi Garanganga (born 6 September 1990) is a professional Zimbabwean tennis player. He was born in Mbare, Zimbabwe, a suburb of Harare, and began playing tennis at the age of 8.
